Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that the overwhelming majority of Bala Samskar Kendras are being taught about the importance of samskaras, the greatness of our scriptures, the bravery of national heroes, the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the inner meaning of various dimensions of our culture and traditions.
Our GHHF coordinators Rajesh, Vamsi, Phani and many of their friends who are committed to work for the preservation and protection of Sanatana Dharma have worked very had to make several programs successful. Bala Samskar Kendras in part of the larger goal.
Why Homa?
Homa is a Vedic ritual conducted as part of a formal ceremony and is used to divert the negative powers and awaken positive vibrations and auspicious energies. According to the teachings of Atharva Veda, all living beings are said to have been created from a grand eternal Yajna (Yagya).
The primary purpose of a Homa is to communicate with the energies of the universe. We make our Sankalpa (resolve) in the presence of various natural elements as our witness. 
It is a means to purify our internal energy and environment. In the process of Homa, we are required to sacrifice our ego, selfishness, and material attachments and encouraged to be more compassionate. 
Our Bala Samskar Students learned about the meaning and significance of Homa, offered dravyas in the fire pit and participated in Purnahuti.
The Homa was conducted on Sarswathi Devi and chanted Om Namo Saraswati Devyaina Maha as the Priest was chanting Saraswati Mantras.
Pada Puja to Mothers.
Our students learned about the importance of Pada Puja to Mothers. All mothers were seated on the chairs and their children sat on the floor in front of their respective mothers and washed their feet. Then they offered flowers on their feet.
'Pada Puja' is a unique celebration of expressing deep gratitude to the beloved Guru or the elders (in today's event the mothers whom all of us revere as God). The word 'pada' means 'sacred feet' in Sanskrit.
According to the old saying, 'Matha, Pitha, Guru, Deivam' our parents, who brought us into this world, protected us during our infancy and childhood when we were unable to help ourselves, fed us, clothed us, educated us and provided us with everything that we needed and showered unconditional love on us deserve to be respected either equal to or even more than the Almighty. They are the visible Gods for every child.
We are taught right from childhood, 'Mathru Devo Bhava; Pithru Devo Bhava; Acharya Devo Bhava'. This Pada Pooja, a regular annual event held in Abhyasa towards the end of the academic year is a humble effort to help children follow these ancient sayings, which keeps reminding us of our rich cultural heritage, apart from making our parents' hearts filled with eternal bliss.
