Durga puja is the biggest Hindu festival in Bangladesh. This year was also celebrated with great joy. This year Global Hindu Heritage Foundation arranged Durga puja in Aldadpur and distributed cloths and food to 100 poor Hindu families in Banshkhali, Kodala, Rangpur and other places. GHHF Center celebrated Durga Puja in Bangladesh. It is the largest event celebrated by the Hindu community in Bangladesh.  The festival is held to worship Goddess Durga and commemorate her triumph against Mahishasur as per legends. The festival is celebrated all over Bangladesh, with some performing it individually and some collectively Collective puja is called baroyari or sarvajanin (open to all). People of all castes can participate in Durga Puja. A sarvajanin Durga Puja is celebrated at Dhakeswari Temple in Dhaka. It is also celebrated in more than a hundred temples in the city.
Durga Puja is a Hindu festival that celebrates the worship of the goddess Durga and commemorates the slaying of the demon king Mahishasur by the goddess Durga, marking the triumph of good over evil123. Bangladesh celebrates Durga Puja in a flamboyant manner due to its significant population of Hindu Bengalis4. The festival is characterized by grand processions and the rhythmic beats of dhak, and devotees visit temples to seek blessings for peace and prosperity from the Goddess.
