Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to initiate the Ghar Waapasi program in around Pittapuram in East Godavari District. It is a deeply religious place with historical significance. It is regarded as one of the 18 Shakti Peethams. Sri Puruhutika Devi Temple is located within the Temple complex of Sri Kukkuteswara Swamy Temple. Pilgrims take bath in Pada Gaya Sarovar and have a darshan of Devi.

Pithapuram is also known as the birthplace of Sri Pada Vallabha, the first incarnation of Lord Dattatreya that took place in 1320 AD. SRI PADA SRIVALLABHA is the most powerful Avatara and many people believe that he is capable of destroying the difficulties, losses, miseries, and obstacles occurring in the lives of His dedicated devotees.

In January 2020, numerous Gods and Goddesses were destroyed and even the God’s picture on the flexes on the streets was torn down. According to the news reports, some unidentified miscreants used hammers to disfigure cemented idols of Lord Ganesha, Hanuman, Sai Baba, and Durga Mata in the Bajranj temple located in the open shed in Suravarapu street in Agraharam and also destroyed various Hindu god flex banners installed in the open space along the roadside in nearby areas on the outskirts of Pithapuram town.

Visited Numerous Villages

Vinay Ambavarapu talked to the villagers and reminded them about the importance od Dharma and wgu we should protect it. Because of our indifference and not practicing our Hinduism, Christians are exploiting our ignorance. He said that we need to know the differences between Hinduism and Christianity. He and Esubabu spent hour talking to the villagers of Pulimeru in the Samarthkota Mandal, about 17 km from Pithapuram.  He explained that we are responsible for  the plight of Hinduism. of Hinduism together with all of  them . They really appreciated our Pracharaks talking about it.

 They asked the villagers to come and meet as a group and discuss our future plans to encounter Christians. They explained to the villagers that they would help them to face the threat of Christians and also said Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is fully behind the and give full support to help them practice their faith and encounter the Christian aggression.

They have showed the book comparing Bhagavad Gita and Bible and read few passages to their surprise. They were shocked to learn the hatred toward parents and relative.

Gollaprolu Village

They went to meet the villagers and talked to many people. They are very passionate about
Hindu Dharma and faced many problems with missionaries. In fact they were so tired of the Missionary abuse, they mentioned that about few years ago they tied up the Pastor to the tree and beat him up until he promised not to abuse our religion and never return to the village. Our Pracharaks promised to help them if they face any kind of Missionary abuse of the villagers.

They went to several villages talking about the richness of our culture and told villagers that whatever Hindu do, it is based on scriptures. Ours is ancient culture with thousand of history even before Christianity came into existence. They also talked about the differences between Christianity and Hinduism. They distributed four page flier and 52-page book comparing Hinduism and Christianity.

Our Pracharaks informed the villagers that Christianity destroyed so many cultures and killed millions of people over the last two decades. They have spread to all European countries, USA and many countries destroying the local civilizations. Goa Inquisition is a best example of the atrocities committed against Hindus in India.

Catherine Nixey wrote a book entitled “The Darkening Age” describing the atrocities committed all over the world wherever they went by demeaning the local culture, destroying the local temples and insulting the local scriptures. She makes some valid points about violence, intolerance, and iconoclasm in Christian history. These techniques served as a major weapon in the arsenal of antireligious polemic for years to come. Nixey powerfully describes the ruthless destruction of pagan temples, shrines, and institutions in the century after Constantine’s decision to tolerate the new faith.
