GHHF Ghar Waapasi in Adivasi / Tribal Areas in Assam – Distribution of 5KGs of Rice for each of 100 Families in remote Tribal Villages
Bhishmacharya to King Yudhisthira in Mahabharata”
“The deities and all the Rishis applaud food. The course of the world and the intellectual faculties have all been established on food. There has never been, nor will be any gift that is equal to the gifts of food. Hence, men always desire particularly to make gifts of food. In this world, food is the cause of energy and strength. The life-breaths are established on food. It is food that upholds the wide universe … That man who makes a gift of clean food unto a person on the way who is toil-worn and unknown to the giver, is sure to acquire great merit.”
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that we have appointed four Pracharaks and Bala Samskar teachers in and around Cachar City in Assam. Cachar is an administrative district in the state. The district headquarters, Silchar, is one of the most important business centers of Assam. In 2006, the Indian government named Cachar one of the country's 250 most backward districts out of a total of 640.
Sri Samrat Dutt from Cachar has been coordinating and organizing activities in ASSAM– Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar and other activities. He was responsible for identifying four Pracharaks – two males and two females. He also identified 7 teachers for Bala Samskar. He even found three villages where Bala Samskar Kendras are being sponsored by them. GHHF would like to express our appreciation to Samrat Ji for his passion and determination to coordinate and supervise these activities.
His concern for the aggressiveness of Christians and Love Jihad by Muslims helped GHHF to organize these activities. We are grateful for his passion, dedication, and leadership qualities in organizing many of these activities.
Annadanam – 5KGs Rice distributed to 100 families
As per Vedas, “Annadanam Samam Danam Trilokeshu Na Vidhathe” meaning Annadanam is supreme and cannot be compared to any other charity. Our tradition pronounces that one who does annadanam attains Punya Loka (heaven). In fact, the whole creation depends on the food. Taittireya Upanishad says “Annam vai Pranaha”, which means All life force comes from food. In Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna declares, “Annad bhavanti Bhutani.” That means all beings evolved from food. Our scriptures talk about “Daridra Narayana” - God dwells in the poor person.
“Gaja turaga Sahasram Gokulam koti danam
Kanaka Rajatha patram Methini sagarantham
Upaya kula vishuttam Koti kanya pradanam
Nahi nahi bahu danam Annadanam samanam”
MEANING: Donating 1000 elephants & horses, donating 10 million cows, donating any number of vessels of silver and gold, donating the entire land to sea, offering the entire services of the clan, helping in the marriage of 10 million women, all this is never ever equal to Annadanam, the feeding of hungry and needy.
Sri Samrat Dutt is working tirelessly to make sure that Hindus are protected from the clutches of both Christians and Muslims. He has been talking to a number of Hindu activists and Proud Hindus who have been helping and participating in an effort to do Ghar Waapasi and also help GHHF to keep the Hindus in tribal areas away from the Christian aggressive efforts to convert. As many of us are aware that many Hindus in these remote villages have little to eat to make a living. The Christians take advantage of the needs of these tribal people and distribute food items.
To counter the efforts of Christian deceptive practices, our Coordinator GHHF, Sri Samrat Dutt has contacted one Rice Wholesale distributor who agrees to donate 500 KGs every month. To counter the aggressive Christian efforts, he is coordinating these efforts to distribute the rice to make sure they are not being exploited by Christians.
The LOVEJIHAD booklet contains five points
Our Pracharaks have been distributing the leaflet containing the information about Love Jihad and how they trap Hindu girls, how convert them, how terrorize Hindu girls, and how they exploit them. The handout contains the following information:
1. What is love jihad
2. Who is behind this jihad
3. Jihad in Assam and Cachar
4. Legal status of women in Hinduism and Islam
5. How the Quran teaches to fight against non-Muslims.
OUR Pracharaks are going to villages every day with a two-fold purpose:
1) To make Hindu families aware of the deception, kidnapping, seduction, false promises, forces conversions by Muslims to entice Hindu girls, get married, and convert the married Hindu girls to Islam against their will.
2) To make Hindu families aware of Christian deceptive tactics to convert Hindus to Christianity.
Some of the material was prepared in Bengali and started distributed to Hindu families.
As we all know about Love Jihad. Extensive reports of Love Jihad are documented in Assam. Hindu Population is about 58 %, Muslim Population about 38 %, and Christian Population is about 4 %.
Love Jihad Law in Assam
Realizing the gravity of Love Jihad in Assam, Chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma proposed legislation, under which the bride and groom will have to disclose their religion and income in official documents a month before the wedding, aims at curbing the menace of ‘love jihad’ and will encompass all communities. “Love jihad doesn’t only mean a Muslim cheating a Hindu. It could happen among Hindus as well. If a Hindu boy uses dubious means to entrap and marry a Hindu girl that is also a form of ‘love jihad’,” Sarma told reporters.
“We don't want to use the term 'Love Jihad' since we feel even a Hindu should not cheat a Hindu. It is not like, when a Muslim cheats a Hindu, it is 'Love Jihad'. According to me, it is also a 'Jihad' when a Hindu man marries a Hindu woman by cheating and misleading her," he said in Assamese, adding, "Therefore, I don't believe in words like Jihad, etc. We want to bring a law to stop cheating to get married."
"We will bring a law, but it would not be like it will be against only Muslims. Our law will be equal in the case of Hindus and Muslims," the Chief Minister said. Assam's law is not against 'love jihad'. It would be inclusive of all religions and would empower our sisters by bringing transparency...One will have to disclose not only religion but earning sources. Complete family details, education, etc. Many times, even in same religious marriages we have found that the girl later finds that the husband is in an illegal business," said Mr. Sarma.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed twenty people so far. With more people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
1) Donate any amount to help the Dharma Pracharaks to work at the ground level.
2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks
