"Exclusivism and intolerance in matters of faith are features of Semitic religions—Judaism, Christianity, Islam. Islam, in fact, had an empire-building agenda from day one. Contrary to these desert-born religions, intolerance and persecution were alien to Hinduism.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has organized the Ghar Waapasi program in Visakhapatnam city and talked to Christian and Hindu family members about our efforts to welcome back to the Hindu field those who converted to Christianity. Our Associate, Kollu Srinivasa Rau has been actively visiting several villages in newly created Konaseema District and Visakhapatnam. They distributed a 4-page document containing the rights of Hindus to encounter Christians and how to stop the construction of illegal churches.
HISTORY OF Blockage of loud speakers in six Churches
Use of Loudspeakers by SIX Church in a Village was stopped
In Karavaka Village in Kona Seema District, six churches on a regular basis creating a nuisance and loud noise by using high volume loudspeakers and disturbing the peace in the community. These Church pastors make it so loud people in the village complained several times. Many of them are not able to sleep as they keep the loudspeakers at a very high volume. They have been doing several times a day starting from 3:00am in the night. They are so reckless and bent on converting all the villagers they are not concerned about the elderly, children and even sick people.
Pastors have written a letter not us LOUDSPEAKERS
The Police asked the Pastors to come to the Police station and asked him to write a letter in writing saying that he would never use the loudspeakers, never inconvenience the people, and would not disturb peace.
CELEBRATING THE BLOCKASGE BY PERFORMING Karthika Rudrabhishekam
In order to set an example, Sri Kollu Srinivasa Raju and villagers have written an affidavit to the Police Department seeking permission to use loud speakers during Rudrabhishekam. They received the permission to conduct Rudrabhishekam.
Affidavit was submitted to set an example for all churches to follow. We can insist on the Police Department to ensure that if the Churches want to use loud speakers , they have to put it in writing about how long they are going to use loud speakers and also to make sure the peace is not disturbed. We practice what we preach. That is message we are conveying the Churches and the Police Department.
Why Rudrabhishekam?
Rudrabhishekam is used to pacify and propitiate the nine planets, in order to increase their positive influence and neutralize the negative influence, and also to give you enlightenment.
Sri Rudram is the basis of Yajurveda, with the sacred Siva Panchakshari Mantra enshrined in it. Lord Shiva is worshipped in Rudra form. It is one of the greatest one to remove all evil and sins, to attain all desires and all-round prosperity. The Maha Rudra Abhishekam is particularly performed for the sake of washing away one's sins and afflictions, for bringing peace, prosperity and happiness along with family togetherness.
Karthika Masam or Kartik month is the most auspicious month amongst all 12 Hindu months. Pujas, rituals, other auspicious and prosperous celebrations during Kartik Month give them great pleasure and happiness in life because this is the most favorite month for both of the Supreme Gods Lord Vishnu and Shiva. Praying to Lord during Kartik maasa fetches them Moksha (salvation).
Philosophy of Shiva Abhishekam
“Alankaarapriyo Vishnuh, Abhishekpriyah Shivah” – Vishnu is very fond of Alankaar (fine dress, beautiful ornaments, etc.); Shiv is fond of Abhishek.” In Shiv temples, a pot made up of copper or brass with a hole in the center is kept hanging over the image or Ling of Shiv, and water falls on the image throughout day and night. Pouring over the Ling, water, milk, ghee, curd, honey, cocoanut water, Panchaamrit, etc, is called Abhishekam. Abhisamhek is done for Shiv. Rudram is chanted along with the Abhishekam. Shiva is propitiated by Abhishekam.
Shiva drank the poison that emanated from the churning of the ocean of milk and wore the Ganga and the Moon on his head to cool His head. Shiva has the fiery third eye. Constant Abhishekam cools this eye too.
The greatest and the highest Abhishekam is to pour the waters of pure love on the Aatm Ling of the lotus of the heart. The external Abhishekam with various objects will help the growth of devotion and adoration for Shiv and eventually lead to internal Abhishekam with pure abundant flow of love.
Abhishek is a part of Shiv Poojaa. Without Abhishekam, worship of Shiv is incomplete. During Shiva Abhishekam Rudra, Purusha Suktam, Chamakam, Maha Mrityunjaya mantra etc, are chanted in a particular rhythm and order. Monday is very important day for Shiv and the 13th day of the fortnight ( Pradosh) is very sacred. On these days, devotees of Shiv worship him with special Poojaa, Abhishekam with Ekaadash Rudra, Archanaa, offering plenty of Prasaad, and illumination.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 26 people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers. Also, we are conducting 150 Bala Kendras in five States. Support one or more Kendras.
1) Sponsor one Bala Samskar Kendra for $1000.00
2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks
