Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to organize Ghar Waapasi in Polavaram Mandalam area in East Godavari District near Kakinada. Our Associate, Ajay Varma, who volunteered to participate in this effort has a long history of propagating the richness of Hindu Dharma. He has a very rich background in Hindu Dharma. He has deep knowledge of the traditions and has the ability to explain all our customs. For example, he can talk about the significance of Tilak on the forehead, and the reason to wear bangles, nose buds, earrings, toe rings, and so on. People get surprised to know the inner meaning of these age-old customs. From childhood, he worked as a priest in their heritage Hanuman Temple and used to do all kinds of Pujas, conduct homas, Satyanarayana Pujas, and many festivals bring bringing everybody to these festivals. He is very enthusiastic about propagating and preserving Sanatana Dharma and gives lectures at different Temples depicting the greatness of our culture and age-old traditions. He also has experience of knocking on the doors of Christian families in and around Kakinada. He met them wherever he was able to approach and talk to them. Some of them he met at their houses, and some met in the neighborhood.
Bhairava Palem Village
He gave a lecture in Vinayaka Mandapam (Auditorium) in Bhairava Palem Village in Polavaram Mandalam on the protecting their dharma and how to teach their children about the basic values of Dharma. He gave an example of young girl who left with a Muslim boy. He started talking about the sacrifices parents make in order to please their children and see their faces glow up . Whenever they ask any thing , the parents will try their best to see that there are given in spite of their tight economic condition. One day a teenager asked for a bike, Parents bought it for her. She asked for a cell phone. They acquired one for their daughter. The she started talking to a number of her friends and having nice time. Over a period of time, she started talking to few boyfriends and finally she fell in love with a Muslim boy. She decided to marry him. Against Parents’ wishes, she left the house and married. In a couple of years, she came out of the wedlock with so many problems and the parents welcomed her back and sheltered her. What he was saying is that parents should teach their children about the values, ethics and morals of Hindu dharma and equip them to make a difference between right and wrong.
Muslim Lady
Ajay Varma met a Muslim couple visiting Devi Temple. He interviewed the Muslim lady first and what makes her come to a Hindu Temple being a Muslim. She said whenever she has any problems, she visits this Devi Temple, and her wishes get fulfilled. Her husband was also interviewed. Muslim man said he came to ger Bracelet to wear around his wrist because he felt that it would bring good luck and his desires will be fulfilled. Ajay Varma asked whether they cut the meat and sell for their living, They said that it is their source of income. But Devi darshanam grants their wishes fulfilled. She did not have Tilak on her forehead when she was interviewed. She said she would apply Tilak when she goes to have darshan of Devi.
He also talked about the importance of Kumkum on the forehead in between the eyebrows and Bangles on the wrist of the women. Kumkum is made of three components – turmeric, baking soda, and lemon juice. mostly from Turmeric which is antiseptic and anti-allergic. Kumkum is considered auspicious and is used for wellbeing. It will protect the Ajneya Chakra – commanding center from distraction. In fact, it stores the positive energy and protects it from being drained. Some of the benefits of wearing Kumkum are relieving headaches, relaxes the muscle on the forehead, clears up sinuses, affects your hearing, calms your mind, beats insomnia, and others. It is also believed that applying the Kumkum while pressing on the Ajneya chakra also affects the penial and pituitary glands that increase the memory system. It is also the symbol of married women.
He was talking about the richness of Hinduism and especially about various customs and traditions. He talked about the significance of Ghee to young couple with a 2-3 year old children. Children were somewhat sick and not doing well when they came to Hindu Temple. They are Christians attending church services. But they came to Devi Temple to get her blessings. Ajay Varma mentioned that they should give them Cow milk mixed with peppers, cardamom and turmeric. Cow milk not only improve our health, but it increases the intelligence and memory power. The reason many Indians are smart because of taking cowmilk. After British came to India, they introduced Tea and all of us have become addicted to Tea thereby losing the immunity power which made us susceptible to all kind of health problems. Hence Ajay Varma suggested them to take COW milk instead of drinking tea,
He distributed a four-page flyer that explains the rights of Hindus and how to encounter Christians who falsify Hindu Dharma, and how SC community people lose their reservations once they leave Hinduism. Similarly, he is distributing fifty-two page small book which describes the differences between Bhagavad Gita and Bible. As many people know that Bible contains many verses that are demeaning to humanity, promote incest, encourages sexual promiscuity, violence, killings, stoning to death, cruelty, smashing of Idols, and other such bloody statements.
Ajay Varma is visiting as many Christian families as possible either individually or collectively and talk of the atrocities committed by Christians around the world. Many Christians do not know what is written in the Bible. When he read some of the passages from the Bible many Christians are shocked. Thus, he is creating doubts in their mind about the holiness of the Bible.
