“You’d have to be brain dead to live in India and not be affected by Hinduism. It’s not like Christianity in America, where you feel it only on Sunday mornings If you go to church at all. Hinduism is an on-going daily procedure. You live it, you breathe it.? Hinduism has a playful aspect which I’ve not experienced in any other religion.”

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has organized the Ghar Waapasi program in Vishakhapatnam area and talked to them about our efforts to welcome back to the Hindu field those who converted to Christianity. Sri Sai Datta Manasa Swamy and his associate have been actively involved in visiting a number of villages in various villages. They distributed a 4-page document containing the rights of Hindus to encounter Christians and how to stop the construction of illegal churches.

Swamiji came to know that Christian Pastors were planning to descent on one village where the majority of them were Hindus. They were trying to promise so many things. Swamiji went and  promised a small Sivalayam and donated Siva Lingam and built a small shed. GHHF is planning to support the construction of a small Siva Temple. Swamiji was able to stop the conversions and all of them promised to remain Hindus. This is the case of STOPPING Hindus from being converted. In those villages, people are united. Whatever they decide they decide as a community. Swamiji and GHHF were able to stop the wholesale conversion of a village.  

Sri Swamiji explained the Hindu dharma is more open and inclusive. It is highly scientific, and all the scientific achievements were done by our ancient Rishis. As Marcus Leatherdale mentioned that everybody is affected by Hinduism. Even the Christians are adopting all the traditions and customs of Hinduism only to deceive Hindus to convert to Christianity. Since their concept of Christianity is a business enterprise, they are going around villages to convert Hindus to make money. The Pastors livelihood depends on the number of conversions and later squeezing the converts to contribute 10 percent of their income.

In fact, most of the churches are deceptive and cunning. They are based on no substance, no depth of knowledge, and no reasoning. The Pastors would not allow the members to even question or seek clarification because churches are built for doing business, not to impart the knowledge useful for worthy living. They are opposed to science as Mark Twain said. They create havoc in the community, sow seeds of disunity and division in the family and create enmity in the village. Since Christian Pastors and Nuns target illiterate people, not only they do not know how to read but they have no idea about even examining what is written. It is filled with savagery, sin, sex, killing, creating division, and eternal burning in the fire.

We all know that many Hindu activists are doing many things. But their efforts have not infiltrated into the villages where the conversion is taking place on a large scale. As Hindus concentrate on their intellectual endeavors, Christians are concentrating on conversion. It is time for all the intellectuals and activists to pause for a few minutes and look at the ground realities. Our intellectual endeavors and activists’ protests are not reaching the villages where conversion is rampant. We cannot ignore or turn away from what is happening on the ground.
