[GHHF] Ground Level Activities updated from April 16 thru May 10 – Ghar Waapasi, Bala Kendras and other topics.
Hajime Nakamura (1912 - 1999)
“The Indians are, at the same time, logical since they generally have a tendency to sublimate their thinking to the universal; they are at once logical and rationalistic. On the contrary, many religions of the West are irrational and illogical, and this is acknowledged by the Westerners themselves. For example, Albert Schweitzer, a pious and most devoted Christian, says, “Compared to the logical religions of Asia, the gospel of Jesus is illogical.”
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is posting our activities every day on our website as well as on WhatsApp Groups, Facebook, Twitter, and Linked In. Many people who are not in these groups are not in a position to know the progress of our activities, hence we summarize the major activities once every ten days or so. We request all our readers to visit our website on a daily basis to acquaint themselves with our ground-level activities.
1) Bala Samskar Kendra Students celebrated Mother’s Day by doing Pujas to Mothers (May 10)
As we celebrate Mother’s Day as per the traditions in the west on May 8, let us pay tribute to the role of the mother and her contribution in shaping the family as well as a nation. In the Hindu way of life, a mother is always remembered, reminisced, cherished, respected, honored, glorified, and worshipped. Mother is considered the pillar of the Hindu family; the pinnacle of sacrifice; the embodiment of love; affection and compassion; the source of inspiration and encouragement; the personification of peace and harmony; the foundation of strength and courage; the epitome of age-old wisdom and prudence; a hallmark of patience and endurance; the quintessence of solace and comfort; exemplification of kindness and gentleness; a reservoir of inexhaustible blessings; Celebrated Mother’s Day on May 8thMother has been extolled as a god form in several places in the Puranas and also God has been approached as a son approaches his mother by many great savants.
2) Ghar Waapasi in Tirupati Area – Welcomed 21 Christians Back to Hinduism (May 9)
Our Pracharaks welcomed and recognized 2 Christians back to Sanatana Dharma from Aggi Chenu Palli ST Colony from Veduru Kuppam Mandalam. Five women, six males, and ten children returned to Hindu Dharmam. This function was attended by about another 20 villagers and witnessed this auspicious occasion. Sri Reddappa was invited as a Special guest who spoke about the greatness of Hindu Dharma and how it will enable society to function as a peaceful and human entity.
3) Ghar Waapasi in Anantapur – Erected a signboard “Hindus only Live Here. Non-Hindu Missionary Activities are Prohibited“ (May 7)
by the activities of the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and Savetemples organization, encouraged by the dedication of Sri Gopi Chary and the Pracharaks, heartened by the richness of our Hindu Dharma, and realizing the menace Christian Missionaries are creating across the nation, Brahmana Palli Tanda villagers decided to declare their village as Hindu Village. Save Temples agreed with their idea to put up a board saying that no missionaries should come to our village in the future, and with the cooperation of everyone in the village, they triumphantly put up a board saying that no missionaries should come to our village. Then the elders passed a resolution to erect this in the village: “Hindus Only Live Here. Non-Hindu Missionary Activities are Prohibited.”
4) Discussed with Sri Ram Madhav our activities at the Ground Level and also about the lawlessness and Denial of Fundamental Rights to Hindus in different States (May 5)
Bala Samskar Kendras: In order to protect our children from the vile Christian Pastors who lure our Hindu kids to the Church by offering biscuits, chocolates, pens, pencils, etc. we started Sunday schools for Children to teach them about the richness of our heritage, traditions, and customs. At present we started Bala Samskar Kendras in 150 villages to make them proud of their richness of Hindu Dharma. We started these Kendras because our family is not able to teach the basics of Hinduism to their children. Schools have become anti-Hindu and are not able to teach about Hindu ethics, morals, and traditions. Hindu Temples are not in a position to teach as the Priests are basically trained in the performance of rituals, and worship services. Not only are we trying to teach about Hindu Dharma, but we are also helping them to do homework to give broader knowledge to the children.
- Austin Chapter Started; An Emotional 3-hour marathon session on the progress of Ghar Waapasi and Bala Samskar Kendras organized. (May 2)
Explained as to how we started Annadanam, Ghar Waapasi, Bala Samskar Kendras and renovation of Grama Devatas.
Many people shed tears when we talked about how our religion which we consider as Second Mother is being attacked, maligned, suffocated, and stifled. Why do we as Hindus keep silent, indifferent, and mum when our mother is being attacked. Every Hindu should take it as his personal responsibility to protect her, promote her and propagate her for the sake of humanity. Without Hinduism, there is no peace or harmony on this mother earth.
Many people became emotional and wanted to be part of GHHF. We will soon decide as to the members of the GHHF Austin team who agreed to be part of our mission.
6) Ghar Waapasi in Agency Area near Visakhapatnam – 73 Christian Families Returned to Hindu Dharma. (April 30)
A remote village known as Seshu Bandla in the agency area is located in Koyyuru Mandalam in the newly created Alluri Seetharamaraju District. Sri Swamiji has been visiting this village for more than two years. It is a very remote village which is very difficult to even reach. There are two churches in the village – basically, it is a big hut, not a real structure. The pastor used to come every Sunday and had sermons and collect money and leave. Except for three families, all of the families were going to the church.
The heads of three families who did not become Christians used to be priests for three different Grama Devatas located in the village. They insisted that the Devis told them not to get converted to Christianity. The names of the Devis are Nukalamma, Ishwaryamm, and Shanku Devi talli. Thus, they remained Hindus even though the rest of the village embraced Christianity.
7) Five Dasavataras Vigrahas belonging to Sri Bhaavanarayana Temple were destroyed; Organized Protests; Submitted Petition to MRO to Investigate immediately (April 29)
The BhaavanarayanaTemple complex has many Vigrahas erected along the way to the Temple. All Dasavataras Vigrahas are erected in the middle of the main road separating the lanes. One can witness these Vigrahas as they go through the main street that leads to the Temple. On April 21, 2022, five Dasavataras Vigrahas were destroyed. Unidentified individuals broke them overnight.
The Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, along with Hanuman Dal, has filed a petition along with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), explaining that another state-level movement would be launched if it did not punish the culprits and erect new idols. They asked the authorities to act immediately.
8) Sharia Law is around the corner; Muslims attacked Ram Navami Processions; Started Holy War Against India - “Ghazwa-e-Hind” (April 26)
On April 13, 2022, a special court in Hyderabad found All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi not guilty in hate speech cases registered against him in 2012 . Akbaruddin Owaisi repeated his ‘15 minute’ provocative phrase which he had made in 2012 while addressing a crowd on Tuesday. In 2012, he had made a highly inflammatory speech asking to remove the police for 15 minutes so that he could finish off 100 crores Hindus.
“No person from RSS or Bajrang Dal can even touch our hair and remember, remember, the world tries to scare the person who gets scared. And the world fears the person who knows how to instill fear. Why do they hate Akbaruddin Owaisi? Why? A single blow of a blacksmith is equal to a hundred blows of a goldsmith. They (RSS) have not yet recovered from the ’15 minute’ blow,'” Akbaruddin Owaisi said, repeating this ’15 minutes’ threat.
9) Ghar Waapasi in Telangana – Welcomed 10 Christians back to Hinduism from Khammam District (April 25)
Lakshmi Nivas and his associates welcomed 10 Christians from Khammam District back to Hindu Dharma. They come from two villages from Sattupalli Mandalam in Khammam district – Yathalakunta and Regala Padu. They used to go to two Churches: MB Church, and Viswani Church. They talked about the tactics they used in converting people and how they induce people to convert to Christianity. Many converts expressed their own experience of being pressured into accepting Christianity and how it created fear in them.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 26 Pracharaks so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
1) Donate any amount to help the Dharma Pracharaks to work at the ground level.
2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored Assistants.
