JackHebner "Spiritual and intellectual efforts of hundreds ofmillions of people over millennia have graced India with a rich andcomplex culture — a culture whose subtlety knows no rival. During the lastthree centuries the attempts of most Westerners to penetrate the spiritualdimension of Indian culture has at best been doomed to superficiality."Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform youthat majority of Bala Samskar Kendras celebrated the Navaratri Festival makingthe youth aware of the richness of Hindu dharma and the greatness of Lord Rama, his personality, his compassion, his love toward parents, his devotion to hisGurus and his concern for his subjects in the kingdom.
Celebration of Ram Navami The teachers and some of the dignitaries spoke about theimportance of Lord Rama as a role model for all of humanity. They spoke aboutthe importance of Lord Rama, his personality, his dharma to his parents, to hisbrothers, to his Gurus, and to his people. He understood his responsibilitiesas a warrior and Kshatriya. He even sacrificed his responsibilities as familymembers and made the judgments based on the interest of the kingdom. He isdescribed as an ideal son, ideal brother, ideal kind, ideal friend, and ideal enemy. He never wavered from the path of Dharma either in killing Ravana or livingtwelve years in the forests. One of the teachers explained how the narration of Ramayanastarted.
The Sage Valmiki once put the followingquestion to Sage Narada, the chief of the hermits and the foremost in the artof expression:"Is there anyone in this world at present who is fullof virtues and at the same time possessed of great prowess, who knows what isright, is well versed in Dharma (religion), who is conscious of service done(grateful), truthful, and of firm resolve?Who is possessed of right conductand who is friendly to all living beings? Who is a man of knowledge, who ispowerful and who has a singularly lovable appearance? Who has subdued himself, who has conquered anger, who is possessed of splendor and who is abovefault finding and whom the very gods dread when his wrath has been provoked inbattle?
