1. Providing numerous amenities to ease the hardship of Pilgrims doing Simhachalam Giri Pradakshana on July 3 – watch TV Coverage. (7/1)
Simhachalam is the place where Narasimha Swamy Temple is located. Giri Pradakshina (walking round the hill) is done around Simhachalam and Kailas Giri hills (Simhachalam temple, is located at the Simhachalam hilltop) of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The event is considered very sacred, auspicious and believed that it is equivalent to walking around the world (Prapancha pradikshina).
2. Ghar Waapasi in Telangana – Welcomed 24 families back to Hindu Dharma from Narayana Peta District.
Lakshmi Nivas and his associates welcomed 24 Christians from Narayana Peta District back to Hindu Dharma. They talked about the tactics they used in converting people and how they induce people to convert to Christianity. Many converts expressed their own experience of being pressured into accepting Christianity and how it created fear in them. Jesus says one cannot love his parents more than Jesus. As you can see that Jesus came here with a sword only to create enemies, and hatred toward others.
3. Amazing Experience - All 700 slokas of Bhagavad Gita were chanted in a mammoth gathering, as young as 3 years participated in Texas (7/3)
On July 2, 2023, with the divine blessings of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and in his presence, Sampoorna Bhagavad Gita Parayanam was conducted at Credit Union of Texas Event Center, Allen Texas. This is the eight batch of students. There are more than 750 Chanters – some of them are as young as 3 years. They have rendered all 700 verses of Holy Bhagavad Gita. More than 300 people attended the Maha Yagna and were immersed in the divine message of Bhagavad Gita. SGS Gita Foundation, Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple and Yoga Sangita have coordinated the event.
4. Bala Samskar Kendras in Anantapur – Students witnessed Planchamruta Abhishekam in a Temples and learned about the importance of Gau Puja. (7/4)
- teacher took the students to Kollapuramma Devalyam in Vonti Mida village where they witnessed the Panchamruta Abhishekam. Five ingredients constitute Panchamrutas – milk, ghee, honey, curd, and sugar. According to mythology, the five elements have symbolic meaning. Milk represents purity, Yoghurt gives us strength, Honey depicts unity because it is prepared jointly by bees, Sugar adds sweetness and Ghee is meant for nourishing the body. Panchamrut is said to have medicinal values which heal and nurture human bodies and increase immunity.
5. Bala Samskar Kendras in Assam – Students learned about the importance of Guru Purnima, Celebrated and received blessings from Parents. (7/5)
Guru Purnima (Poornima) is a religious Hindu festival dedicated to offering respect to all the spiritual and academic gurus. It is celebrated as a festival in India, Nepal and Bhutan by Hindus, Jains and Buddhists. This festival is traditionally observed to honor one's chosen spiritual teachers or leaders. It is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in the month of Ashadha (June–July) according to the Hindu Calendar. It is also known as Vyasa Purnima, for it marks the birthday of Veda Vyasa, the sage who authored the Mahabharata and compiled the Vedas.
6. Bala Samskar Kendras in Tamil Nadu – Students learned about the Significance of Yoga, learned Gayatri Mantra and cleaned the Temple Premise (7/6)
The children's temple celebrations began with excitement. A colorful GHHF banner was carefully tied to create the tone for the occasion. The kids practice yoga asanas (poses) with senior student instructors (selected based on their performance in regular classes) for two hours. It was amazing to see the Immense flexibility of the students. Asanas promote flexibility, strength, and body awareness, connecting mind, body, and soul. After an energetic asana session, the kids learned about yoga's history and importance. They learned about yoga's ancient Indian roots and modern significance.
7. Bala Samskar Kendras – Learning a powerful Patriotic Song to boost their morale and patriotism to Bharata Mata (7/9)
Our students are being taught about this song and require them to memorize it and make them feel proud of the richness of Bharata. National heroes such as Nana Sahib, Sukhdev, Kunwar Singh, Mangal Pandey, Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, Ram Prasad Bismil, Chandra Shekhar Azad , Rani Lakshmi Bai, Begum Hazrat Mahal, Bhagat Singh, Tantia Tope and others sacrificed their lives for their patriotic country.
8. GHHF Meeting in Houston
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is scheduling a Meeting in Houston on July 16th about the grassroots level activities for Hindu survival in Bharath. Please encourage all your friends in Houston to attend.
