Goti Talambralu.    
    It is a tradition for many years that Mandipeta village in East Godavari District allot one acre to raise special paddy which will be used to prepare Talambralu and deliver them to Bhadrachalam Temple. These Talambralu will be used at the wedding.
    Once the paddy is harvested, eleven village ladies sit and remove the husk of each grain individually with their nails. It takes about two months for these eleven village ladies to make GOTI Talambralu for one acre paddy. They do it by following some disciplinary rituals. 
Annadanam.
    All these eleven-village people came to Bhadrachalam to delver these Goti Talambralu. Realizing their dedication and the need for rest and food, Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) and J D Foundation arranged sumptuous meal these eleven villagers. GHHF Bala Samskar teachers volunteered and cooked the food in  a vert time and served in Padmasali Satram.
Villagers Pledged
    The villagers were surprised at the speed both the organizations worked to make all the arrangements and provide Annadanam. They were informed about the activities of GHHF and JDF and how they are working at the ground level to ensure the preservation and protection of Sanatana Dharma in the villages. All these 250 people who attended the function pledged that they would remain Hindus, encounter the Christian pressures and safeguard the Hindu Temples.
Talambralu – It is a combination of two words Tala (Head) Bralu (Shower). This is special rice prepared by mixing Kumkum, turmeric powder, gulal and other scented items. The combination of these items signifies abundance and prosperity and an unbreakable bond of love and harmony among the couple. Almost at the end of wedding, the bride and the groom shower each other with yellow, unbroken rice. Rice holds a very important place in South Indian cuisine and is their major source of nutrition.
500 KGs of Talambralu are prepared for Sita Rama Kalyanam in Bhadrachalam at Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Khammam District of Telangana
In Bhadrachalam, Talambralu is symbolic to the couple's life ahead filled with happiness, prosperity and understanding. During this ritual, the bride and groom exchange garlands and the shower each other with pearls and rice mixed along with saffron and turmeric. The rice is predominantly used because it is the staple diet of the state, it is considered auspicious for rituals. It takes place after tying the knot and what begins with taking turns soon becomes a hilarious competition between the couple, the guests also sprinkle the couple with flower petals and rice in the form of blessings for their future together.
 As per the tradition, on this Holi Purnima, Vasantotsavam function will be held. On this day Lord Rama is made Bridegroom for him to get ready for the actual wedding on Sri Rama Navami Day which falls on March 30th.
