The Round Table Conference, organized by GHHF, demanded that Tirumala-Tirupati-Tiruchanur be declared a holy city and pilgrimage site. More than 25 organizations supported the Declaration.
Recently, a crucial roundtable conference was held in Hyderabad under the auspices of the Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, with representatives of various Hindu communities and prominent intellectuals. The main objective of this meeting was to declare Tirupati and Tiruchanur areas as complete pilgrimage sites while preserving the sanctity of Tirumala, the Kaliyuga Vaikuntha. On this occasion, a lengthy discussion was held regarding issues that could compromise the site's sanctity.
The meeting unanimously demanded a complete ban on the sale of liquor and meat in Tirupati and Tiruchanur, in line with the rules currently in force in Tirumala. The representatives also urged the government to strictly curb the pagan propaganda going on in these areas. The speakers expressed concern that the pagan activities going on around these sites, which are emerging as spiritual centers, are hurting the sentiments of the devotees.
Representatives of various Hindu communities attending the meeting shared their views and discussed next steps to preserve Tirupati's spiritual heritage.
