1. Protest Rally in Frisco in support of Global Voice for Bangladesh Hindus was a grand success with 400+ in attendance (8/11)
Global Voice for Bangladesh Minorities event was held at Frisco City Hall this evening and was a grand success. Global Hindu Heritage Foundation and many similar organizations joined hands to highlight the atrocities committed against minorities, especially Hindus. We prepared the following report highlighting only few items related to the protest and on-the-ground activities, and the flow of events.

2. Attended three-day Prana Pratishta Ceremony at Datta Temple, Baton Rouge, LA; Installed Venkateswara, Panchamuka Anjaneya, Lord Ayyappa, and Navagrahas. (8/12)
We are fortunate to attend a three-day Pranapratishta ceremony at Datta Temple, Baton Rouge, LA on August 8-10, 2024. As a Chairman of Datta Yoga Center USA from 1993-2022, I had the opportunity to participate in the planning and Construction of this Datta Temple. Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji is the founder of this Temple and performed Prana Pratishta in 1997 with the installation of Lord Ganesh, Dattatreya and Anagha Devi, and Lord Shiva.

3. Activities in Bangladesh started in 2021; Our activist came out from hiding Protecting Hindu houses and Hindu Temples. They need our help. Donate generously to resume our activities. (8/13)
Since more than a month we are constantly trying to reach, send our help in various ways possible. We lost total contact with our leadership in Bangladesh for 15 days.  All children and parents in vulnerable areas were moved to places of less threat in tribal and hilltop places. Most of their houses were looted already. Some were just cooked white rice with salt sprinkled. GHHF lending support on a priority basis with the limited resources we have. Transport has been a major issue.

4. Bala Samskar Kendras – Students learned a moral lesson from Tenali Ramalinga who tricked the thieves to draw water for the garden (8/14)
Once a terrible drought struck the Vijayanagar kingdom. The rain did not start at all. Due to this, the wells and pumps turned dry. The pumps and wells dried up where they were always filled with water. Tenali Ramalinga’s house is on the banks of Tungabhadra River. Even in his house well water almost depleted inside. Due to this it became very difficult to break the drought. To drink water, to bathe, to cook, water was not enough.  But who watered the garden in the valley?

Schools, colleges, and various organizations also hold flag-hoisting ceremonies and organize cultural programs and competitions. Patriotic songs, dances, and skits are performed to honor the heroes of the independence movement and instill a sense of pride and patriotism in the younger generation.

6. Donations are appreciated for Bangladeshi Hindus to provide protection, annadanam, shelter for women and repair homes and shops. (8/16)
Bangladesh is still burning. One of our teachers got attacked and injured severely and many houses of Hindus and Christians were looted and burned down as many families has fled. There are thousands at every center starving, scared and sick mostly women and children. They have no place to go and at least Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is trying to provide food to those waiting on the streets. Our volunteers are working as human shields. Our people are also trying to protect as many temples as possible in all three shifts on rotation basis. There is a lot of need for food, clothing and shelter.

7. Shiva Puja and Abhishekam was done on Monday evening during Pradosha Kala in a Dalit Community. Every villager performed Abhishekam to Lord Shiva. (8/17)
Sri Gopi Krishna Sastry Garu, decided to do Shiva Abhishekam in every House on Monday evening during Pradosh time. As many of you know, our activities are conducted in villages, Dalit communities, tribal areas, and interior places. With this program, we want to go to places very few people have been to before and do pujas and Abhishekam in houses nobody has done before. Many of these places are ignored by many of our religious people to bring them together by encouraging the villagers to engage in the usefulness of conducting the rituals. They never went to the houses and performed these rituals in their home.

8. Bala Samskar Kendras in Assam Celebrtaed Independence Day with doing Puja to Bharat Mata and cultural programs (8/18)
Teachers talked about the struggle for Independence from Brirish. The Independence Day of India, which is celebrated religiously throughout the Country on the 15th of August every year, holds tremendous ground in the list of national days, since it reminds every Indian about the dawn of a new beginning, the beginning of an era of deliverance from the clutches of British colonialism of more than 200 years.
