GHHF – Welcomed 21 Christians back to Hindu Dharma Usulumarru Village in West Godavari District.
Keith Bellows, National Geographic Society
“When I first visited, I was stunned by the richness of the land, by its lush beauty and exotic architecture, by its ability to overload the senses with the pure, concentrated intensity of its colors, smells, tastes, and sounds... I had been seeing the world in black & white and, when brought face-to-face with India, experienced everything re-rendered in brilliant technicolor."
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to inform you that Ghar Waapasi was organized in West Godavari District by one of our Hindu activists in the area. in Anantapur District. Sri Gopalakrishna Garu and his friends have been working for several years either to stop the conversion or welcome back those Christians who left Hinduism. They visit each house and distribute the flyers and talk about the richness of Hinduism and why they should return to their original religion. They have taken all precautions required during this pandemic.
Sri Gopalakrishna and other friends have been going to villages with a mission to highlight the richness of Sanatana Dharma. They are going to the Christian families and giving information about the differences between Christianity and Hinduism. They are sharing the 4-page document about the rights of Hindus and how to encounter Christian aggression.
The Ghar Waapasi program was held under the auspices of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation for several weeks meeting Christian family members talking about the Christianity and Hinduism. Finally, they welcomed 21 Christians back to Hinduism in Usulumarru village in Peravali zone of West Godavari district.
Following are the reasons they expressed when they returned to Hinduism. They all explained the reasons for their return as follows:
1. Missionaries kept saying that by leaving Hinduism and converting to Christianity the hardships would be removed. But our hardships have not yet been fulfilled.
2. The pastor's demands are endless and keep asking us to donate very frequently. His demands are never satiated.
3. They always had a guilt feeling for leaving Hinduism and feeling that going to Christianity as a mistake haunted us until we retuned.
4. Never realized that they must leave their friends behind and are not allowed to talk to them. Additionally, we did not realize that we must leave our own relatives and should not talk to them.
5. Our lives have not improved at all despite going to Christians. The kept insisting that Jesus will take care of their needs and help them. That was a false promise made by the Pastor.
6. It was believed that diseases would decrease, and health would improve. In fact their health problems got worse. Everything is an illusion.
7. After returning to Hinduism, they said that going to Hindu temples brought peace of mind and serenity.
