[GHHF] Working at the Grassroots level to teach about the Richness of Hinduism and the Christian tactics to convert innocent villagers
Our Pracharaks talk about the differences between the two religions and the richness of the Hindu religion. They mentioned that nobody will go to hell or burn eternally in the fire if you do not believe in Hinduism. It is only in Christianity. The pastors create so much fear for their living. Hinduism is tolerant and wants to live peacefully. Our leaders cited a few examples from the Bible and compared them with the Bible.
On July 31, 2024, our Pracharaks visited Upponka village of Kalyanadurgam Mandal, Hindu Dharma propagation was done in ST colony. They went to several Hindu house and explained about Sanatana Dharma and how we are different, Our God is compassionate one and always try to improve our lives and help us grow spiritually. He never condemns anyone for not worshipping.
The mentioned that Christian missionaries are going villages and try to scare our Hindus by saying that we will burn eternally for not believing in Christian God.
Christian missionaries are saying that the diseases can be reduced by being baptized, applying oil, and praying. Similarly, in Hinduism, prayers and Japas can provide relief to some extent, but prayers do not deceive that diseases, hardships and sufferings will be completely reduced.
It seems there are some claims among certain Christian groups in India that applying oil can cure diseases. This belief is often rooted in religious practices and traditions, where anointing with oil is seen as a form of spiritual healing. However, it’s important to note that these claims are not scientifically proven and should not replace medical treatment.
James 5:14-16 states that 14Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.”
In Hindu religion, Pain and suffering are not seen as solely bad but as experiences that need to be viewed from multiple per spectates. Hindu traditions hold that all things are manifestations of God/The Ultimate, so nothing is only good or bad. Karma theory is a very powerful tool which says all of us products of our making. Every action we perform has consequences.
Sarah M. Whitman, MD says “Suffering is thought to be part of the unfolding of karma and a consequence of past inappropriate action. Suffering is also inherent in the cycles of living and rebirth. Hindu traditions promote 1) the acceptance of suffering as being a just consequence under laws of karma, 2) the realization that suffering is transitory while in this world, and not affecting one’s true Self, and 3) the view that suffering is not solely negative. Attachment to this world, by wanting things to be different in some way, contributes to suffering. Detachment is a spiritual goal which allows one to turn toward God/The Ultimate.” (Journal of Pain 2007)
