Hindu Ratha Yathra by Sri Paripoornananda Swamiji starts November 1st 2012, for 14 months; NEED your SUPPORT for this event
Arnold Toynbee "It is already becoming clear that a chapter which had a Western beginning will have to have an Indian ending if it is not to end in self-destruction of the human race. At this supremely dangerous moment in human history, the only way of salvation is the ancient Hindu way.”
Anne W Besant “Make no mistake, without Hinduism, India has no future. Hinduism is the soil in to which India's roots are stuck and torn out of that she will inevitably wither as a tree torn out from its place. And if Hindus do not maintain Hinduism, who shall save it? If India's own children do not cling to her faith, who shall guard it. India alone can save India and India and Hinduism are one. "
Swami Paripoornananda is undertaking this unprecedented Ratha Yathra to address the Religious Conversion and it’s disastrous effect on the Hindu civilization. The tolerance of Hinduism is being taken advantage of by all the other religions by converting the Hindus in to Christianity and Islam through various deceptive practices, allurements, incentives, false promises, encouraging denigration of Hindu Gods, terrorism, destruction of property, mass killings, love jihadis, fatwas and the list goes on. Hindus have to be cognizant of the potential danger to Hinduism as well as human race itself, of any attempts by other religions and the secular government to eliminate the Hindu way of life are successful. That is why Arnold Toynbee, after studying the history of 26 civilizations across the globe for more than 5 decades, came to the conclusion that ancient Hindu way is the only answer to the potential destruction of human race.
Many academicians, scholars, intellectuals, media, Marxists, secular government, minority appeasers, Christians, and Islamists armed with unlimited resources, unrestrained deception, zealous hatred for peaceful coexistence, selfish monitory payoffs, political kickbacks and uncontrolled hatred toward Hinduism have controlled the media and political sphere have succeeded in converting Hindus into other religions, creating inferiority complex among Hindus and making many Hindus think like Macaulay’s children, disarming the country from it’s moral and ethical compass and infusing India with most corrupt practices. These people have no historical outlook, no appreciation for unparalleled spirituality, no thorough understanding of the depth of the ancient scriptures and no set of moral ethics to guide their life course except greed. It is appropriate to remember the words of Claude Arpi, a French man, who adopted India as his country long time ago. He observed: “However, today, I am sad. When I left France for India, I came with a dream: I was going to the land of the Vedas, of the Buddha, a continent with an eternal religion. I thought everyone in this country was turned "inwards", seeking a higher light; I believed India would soon be able to guide the world towards a more meaningful tomorrow. Why I am sad now? … What is sad and shocking is that these historians, like many intellectuals in India, are not at all concerned by what has always made India great, they prefer to denigrate India. "
Hindus have to be awakened
Hindus are more like Lord Hanuman who was cursed to forget all his miraculous powers and his enormous strength until he was remindedof them. Hindus have not been aware of the richness, greatness and glory of their religion. They have not been taught about Vedas, Upanishads, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagavad Gita and Puranas who gave solace to the mankind during the course of human history. Let us be reminded of greatness of our scriptures:
Henry Thoreau on Vedas
"Whenever I have read any part of the Vedas, I have felt that some unearthly and unknown light illuminated me. In the great teaching of the Vedas, there is no touch of sectarianism. It is of all ages, climes and nationalities and is the royal road for the attainment of the Great Knowledge. When I am at it, I feel that I am under the spangled heavens of a summer night."
Arthur Schopenhauer on Upanishads
"From every sentence (of the Upanishads) deep, original and sublime thoughts arise, and the whole is pervaded by a high and holy and earnest spirit...."In the whole world there is no study so beneficial and so elevating as that of the Upanishads. They are destined sooner or later to become the faith of the people."
Ralph Waldo Emerson on Bhagavad Gita
"I owed a magnificent day to the Bhagavad-Gita. It was the first of books; it was as if an empire spoke to us, nothing small or unworthy, but large, serene, consistent, the voice of an old intelligence which in another age and climate had pondered and thus disposed of the same questions which exercise us."
Tarun J Tejpal On Mahbharata
“The greatest book in the world, the Mahabharata, tells us we all have to live and die by our karmic cycle. Thus works the perfect reward-and-punishment, cause-and-effect, and code of the universe. We live out in our present life what we wrote out in our last. But the great moral thriller also orders us to rage against karma and its despotic dictates. It teaches us to subvert it.
Jules MicheletOn Ramayana
"There lies my great poem, as vast as the Indian Ocean, blessed, gilded with the sun, the book of divine harmony wherein is no dissonance. A serene peace reigns there, and in the midst of conflict an infinite sweetness, a boundless fraternity, which spreads over all living things, an ocean (without bottom or bound) of love, of pity, of clemency.”
Yann Martel on Indian Stories
''There are stories that can be told only in India. There are things that are possible in India that are not possible anywhere else … It is a country that dazzles me because it is all of life. I truly think that in some ways, India is the richest place on earth.''
Why Hindu Ratha Yathra by Swami Paripoornananda
Swami Paripoornananda is conducting this Hindu Ratha Yatra to revive Hinduism, bring back the converted Hindus to mother’s fold, and create pride to say what Swami Vivekananda wanted us to say: Say it with pride: we are Hindus." He is going to talk about the virtues of Hindu way of life, greatness of our scriptures, relevance of the ancient scriptures in the modern day world, inclusiveness of our faith, and the need for preservation of the ancient civilization. Now is the time to act. Hindus must shoulder the responsibility of this movement to talk about the richness of our culture, to create pride in their scriptures, to bring unity among different sections of the Hindu community, to highlight the significance of Hindu Temples, to emphasize the importance of customs and traditions, to thwart the deceptive practices of other religions, to expose the illegal and immoral conversion of efforts of Christians, to counter the Christian and Islamic attacks on the Hindu customs and Deities, to invite back all the converted Hindus back to the Mother’s fold with open heart, to encourage all Hindus to carry Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures in their hand with their heads held high.
Hinduism is never an evangelical religion and an exclusive faith. It is not in the blood of Hindus to about the greatness of their religion for the purpose of conversion, never used any type of deception to allure people into Hind religion, never damned people to hell for not being a Hindu, never branded other religious people as heathens and kafirs to be condemned. We are so broad-minded that we invited all the religions to Bharath with open hands only to be stabbed and maligned.
Unless we are awakened, and rekindled, we do not act and defend and appreciate our religion. We have to be stirred up to do great things for our religion. Kalidasa even recognized the predicament of Hindus when he said:
"Jvalati chalitendhanah agnir viprakritah pannagah phanam kurute
Prayah svam mahinmanam kshobhat pratipadyate hi janah."
"When the fagots are stirred, the flame leaps. When the Snake is stirred, it rears its hood. Through being stirred to action, people mostly attain their proper greatness."
