Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar passed away in San Diego, USA, On Tuesday evening. He was suffered with breathing problem since last 5 days. He was 92.

On 6 December 2012, Shankar was admitted to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, San Diego, California after complaining of breathing difficulties. He died on 11 December 2012 at around 4:30pm PST. According to The Ravi Shankar Foundation, Shankar had suffered from upper-respiratory and heart issues over the past year and underwent heart-valve replacement surgery on 6 December 2012.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) & Savetemples.org, Aalayavani Web Radio & Aalayavani Web Magazine deeply condemned the demise of Pandi Ravi Shanker and passed condolences to his family. He will always be remembered.

Ravi Shankar (Robindro Shaunkor Chowdhury) born on 7 April 1920, often referred to by the title Pandit, was an Indian musician and composer who played the sitar, a plucked-string instrument. He was described as the best-known contemporary Indian musician
