Dr K. Aravinda Rao gave a powerful speech on “How to Raise and Protect our Precious Hindu Children in USA.” at the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco Texas on June 9, 2024. 
He is an IAS officer and worked as DGP for combines Andhra Pradesh. He traced his experience of realizing the importance in knowing the richness of Hinduism when he arrested a group of terrorists and realized how much they committed to their faith. He was surprised at their firm faith and the way they defended. Thus, his journey into the Sanatana Dharma
    He advised the parents to teach about Ramayana, Mahabharata and Bhagavad Gita. We all should get acquainted with these books to impart knowledge to our children and teach them how relevant the message of these books. Also, should read the narrative of Brahma Sutras. 
    Parents should take the responsibility of teaching the essentials of Hinduism. They are curious to know about the creation, Advaita philosophy, why we have so many Gods, what are our traditions and customs, etc. 
Every family should acquire at least 50 books and keep them in the house. By looking at them we get inspiration to read them. Although they may be available on the internet, it is not quite equal to keeping the books in the house. Many of us do not know much about Hinduism as the Britishers changed the educational importance by emphasizing the British way of looking at Sanatana Dharma instead of looking at the source of our knowledge. 
Dr. Aravinda Rao suggested that his book “How to tell Hinduism to your Children” is available on the internet.
