Sri Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is an Indian industrialist and politician who was appointed as the 23rd Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh. He is a staunch believer in Hindu ideals and steadfast in protecting the Hindu Temples. His statements on the conversion of Hindus by Christians using money and power drew both applause and heavy criticism. He will express his views on religious conversion, use of temple money, Hindu Temple attacks, abuse of TTD funds and the Board’s responsibilities, salaries to the pastors, Imams and Hindu Priests, and other similar topics.
Then he decided to have darshan of Lord Rama and offer a garland to the deities. Can you imagine that a Deputy Speaker of Andhra Pradesh is not even allowed to enter the Lord Rama Temple in Akividu and offer garlands to the Ram Pariwara? Also, imagine what is happening to Hindus in all the villages in Andhra Pradesh.
All the assembled Hindus were attacked on Rama Navami Day (March 27, 2026) by converted Christians with nails, knives, and stones. Some of the Hindus were hospitalized, and some of them suffered injuries and bruises. Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishnam Raju alleged that an attempt was made on his life during a temple event. He filed cases against the attackers and is completing the construction of Rama Temple by the year's end.
He has supported GHHF's efforts for several years. He also appeared on a Zoom call in 2021 to talk about the conversion of Hindus and the state government's involvement.
