Flood Relief Activity.
Over the last two days, two teams consisting of 38 members took part in a flood relief activity. It is pertinent to be mentioned here that the houses of many of these members are totally submerged but they immediately responded to an organization call.
Sri Samrat Dutt, GHHF Board member is actively coordinating the events, contacting about 38 teams GHHF formed over the years and giving all the support needed to meet the need of the flood victims.
Teams are formed to Assess the needs and plan the distribution.
Firstly, A ground-level team of GHHF and Hindu Yuva Manch today carried out an inspection of flood-affected regions in Malua and Naharpur area amid the ongoing heavy rains. The team prepared a list of items required to be distributed in those areas.
Secondly another team distributed biscuits, water bottles, mosquito coil, soyabean packet and magi packets amongst 230 families in one of the worst affected area viz Malinibil where more than thousands of people were affected by flood.
What we Did so far:
1) Served 1500 Kichadi Packets – each packet serves two to three people.
2) One lady, Khomola Das prepared meals for a remote village not accessible even by boat.
3) Served 900 Packets of dry goods consisting of Maggie packets, Biscuits, Mosquito Coils, Water bottles, some medicines.
4) Served about 200 packets to Children consisting of Milk, milk powder, biscuits, etc.
