[GHHF Assam] Significant Activities and Achievements organized in January at the ground level to spread the richness of Sanatana Dharma.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation in Assam is please to submit the activities organized in the month of January to spread the richness of Sanatana Dharma.
1. Tejaswini starts two Bala Samskar Kendras. One in New Doyapur and the other in Jirighat. Tejaswini Group started new committees at four new Villages Nandan Kanon tea garden, Joypur, and Dilkhush with a motive to counter love jihad and women empowerment.
2. Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated with 400 Hindus. Teachers talked about his family and how he met Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. His travel to United States and his speech at World Parliament of Religions in Chicago. He said, ‘Take a good subject. Make it your life’s desire. That should be the supreme goal in your thoughts, dreams, and life. Your brain, muscles, nerves, and every part of your body should think the same. Put aside all other thoughts. Only then will you be able to achieve success,’ Vivekananda revealed. Bala Samskar Kendras took out a rally on Vivekananda Jayanti. Vivekananda Jayanti celebrated on January 12 to mark the Birth anniversary of Hindu monk Swami Vivekananda at Vill- Govindanagar, and Sonai.
3. How to rejuvenate Hindus of a village? Bala Samskar Kendra of Govindanagar shows the way......When I first visited this village three years back, hardly ten people came to talk to me. We started Bala Samskar Kendra there. Now we have a Tejaswini team of fifty girls, 40-50 youths joined GHHF and 500 villagers through Bala Samskar Kendra associated with GHHF. We stopped cutting trees for wood, we helped them to get Gas connection through Ujjal scheme, we revived Temple, now every Monday villagers visits temple, organized kirtan etc. there. We stopped Muslim boys to roaming in front of girl’s school. We encourage hundreds of villagers to protect their Dharma.
4. Parents were worship on Makar Sankranti by Bala Samskar students. On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti students of Bala Samskar Kendras touched the feet and took blessings from their parents.
5. Rescued one Hindu girl. Lodged FIR with Sonai Police station vide No 04/2025. Sahanur Alom was arrested. Yesterday Sahanur Alom tried to molest and rape a Hindu girl in Kachudaram village. Police refused to take FIR. After the intervention of GHHF Sonai team police not only registered the case but also arrested the accused within 2 hours.
6. Bhajan Mandalis is a different village organized Hare Krishna Kirtan. Thousands of Hindus participated in the village Govindanagar. It was a huge program organized by GHHF Bhajan Mandalis. More than 8-10000 Hindus took prasadam. It was first time that any Hindu organization could gather so many Hindus in this area. Our Bhajan Mandali team worked very hard to make this program successful.
GHHF Bhajan Mandali south Cachar unit organized the 24-Hour Kirtan at the Krishna Balarama Mandir in Govindanagar, Amjur, and Sonai villages. We selected Govindanagar village as we have all sorts of resources available at this village. Moreover, last year we chose Adivasi village where in presence of Prakash ji and Srinivas they organized Kirtan in December. This year we choose Schedule Caste dominated village. A 24-Hour Kirtan is a non-stop kirtan program where five renowned Bhajan Mandali team from Cachar viz 1. Shrijee Sampradaya; 2. Gopal Sampradaya; 3. Bhakti Bilas Sampradaya and 4. Sri Guru Sampradaya, and 5. Sri Gauranga Sampradaya participated, and it was the first time due to efforts of GHHF Assam. Hindus from adjoining six villages came to one place. Khichdi prasadam distributed amongst 10,000 Sanatanis. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was an Indian Hindu saint from Bengal and the founder of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's mode of worshipping Krishna with bhajan-kirtan and dance had a profound effect on Vaishnavism in Bengal.
7. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti celebrated by Bala Samskar Kendras, took out a rally with the National flag. Parakram Divas celebrations by Bala Samskar Kendras of Assam commemorating the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. centers took out rally with Netaji photo and National flag and done Nagar parikrama throughout the village. Some centers organized Art competitions on Netaji, and some organized cultural programs.
8. Bala Samskar Kendras performed Saraswati Puja on Vasant Panchami Day. Like every year this year also Bala Samskar Kendras of Assam organized Saraswati Puja on the auspicious occasion of Vasant Panchami.
Centers brought Saraswati Picture, priest worshipped Saraswati and after that all the students and their parents offered Anjali with flower on the feet of Saraswati. Students learnt Saraswati mantra. Prasadam distributed amongst villagers and students.
9. Republic Day was celebrated with Falg hoisting, cultural program on 26th January by Bala Samskar centers. The teachers talked about the adoption of Republic Day in 1950 as the Indian Constitution adopted. They remembered several National heroes who sacrificed their life for India to be free from British government.
