Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated across the country on the fourth day of Hindu month Bhadrapada. Lord Ganesha is worshipped for being a remover of obstacles, wisdom, and knowledge. In many parts of India, Ganesh Navatri – the 9-day festivities start from today and culminate with the immersion of the idols.
Bala Samskar Children performed Vigneswara Puja, Saraswati Puja Palabhishekam to Lord Shiva, Vigneshwara Homa, Saraswati Homa etc. under the auspices of GHHF & SAVE TEMPLES in Gundiganipalli village in Anantapur District in Andhra Pradesh.
On behalf of Save Temples, Sri Gopikrishna Acharya welcomed all the children and village elders with a bouquet of flowers made by us, which was very gratifying.
Each child who came first was applied Tilak on their forehead by the Bala Brahmin, and the names of gotras were recited to each child and the puja started. After Saraswati Puja and Vigneswara Puja, everyone performed milk ablution on Lord Shiva. Later, Saraswati Homam and Vigneshwara Homam were organized under the guidance of the teachers of Bala Samskara Kendras. Finally, Purnahuti program was done by the elders and children from the village. After that Panchamruta and Tirtha Prasad were given, and a food donation program was conducted.
Almost 200 to 250 children and adults came together for this program and made the program successful.
