"If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India."

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very happy to inform you that the Bala Samskar Kendras in Tamil Nadu have celebrated their year anniversary. One of the centers is being organized in an area called:

“Slum Clearance Housing Board, Ezhil Nagar,

near Kannagi Nagar Police Station,

Thoraipakkam, Chennai.

The teachers talked about the progress they made and how Children were responding.

It is heartwarming to learn about the success of the program. As you can see from the pictures they wore Tilak on their forehead and chanted the slokas to their hearts content.

It is also heartbreaking to see the conditions they live in. You can see all the children sitting in the corridor of the building in front of the apartments where the families live. There was not enough space. Still, commitment and dedication are no match for comfort or convenience. It is even more heartbreaking to know the family situations in which these kids are raised. Teachers tell us about how the children are treated. Sometimes, teachers keep them for hours to make sure the kids feel safe to back home.

Sri Srinivas Pinnamaneni and Sri Sridhar attended the event and encouraged them to champion Hindutva ideology. Sri Rajkumar and his brother Sri Ramdas are championing the cause of transmission of Sanatana values to these slum areas. Sri Rajkumar is assisted by five teachers who coordinate the program. Parents, students, and other community people attended the program. About 100 students attended this annual program in the Slum building.

Report from Sri Rajkumar

Dear Sir,

For the past four years, we have been doing programs in Villages and poor housing board areas. With your kind support, we have been doing Bala Samskar programs for the past year. My brother is well-connected with a good network of dedicated volunteers across South India and Northeastern parts of India. He is returning to Chennai this coming Sunday. Villages and poor areas are the prime target areas for Christian missionaries.

My brother will be delighted to contact you soon and give me more details. Thank you for your generous support. Thanks. Jai Sri Ram.

We had three full-time teachers and have now recruited two more teachers for our programs in Chennai. Our goal is to train the children spiritually, morally, culturally, and with a strong Hindutva spirit.

Our children learn slokas, Vedic prayers, and stories from the scriptures. Our children will be trained to be exemplary characters and lead society in the right direction.

We are presently interacting with close to 120 to 130 children.

My brother will be able to give more details if required.

We recently conducted a program for the parents of our Bala Samskara Children (Slum housing board). We distributed free Bhagavad-Gita books to them and encouraged them to read a few pages of it every day. The parents then promised to read every day. They were happy to be guided, and heartfully expressed their gratitude.

The parents also expressed that no one usually visits their areas due to their poverty and external caste designations and that is one main reason for them to accept Christianity.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 26 people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers. Also,  we are conducting 150 Bala Kendras in five States. Support one or more Kendras.

1) Sponsor one Bala Samskar Kendra for $1000.00

2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 - $3500.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored 9 Pracharaks
