[GHHF] Bala Samskar Kendras in Kurnool – Students are learning Lingashtakam, its importance and the benefits.
Michael Pym (1889 - 1983) author of The Power of India writes:
"India challenged, one realized, the whole of the West. Not Western inventions, Western science, Western conveniences, which India was perfectly ready to adopt insofar as they suited India's convenience. ...Not that. The challenge was a much deeper thing. A challenge of values, of ethics, of attitude to life.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to inform that we are organizing more than 200 Bala Samskar Kendras in five different States and Bangladesh. Over the last week they have organized several activities including learning the importance of chanting Lingashtakam.
Bala Samskar Kendra students in Kurnool are learning the importance of chanting Lingashtakam. Teachers are helping them to chant properly. Most of the teachers taught the students to chant Lingashtakam.
Learning Lingashtaka Stotram in Kurnool.
All the students in most of the centers in Kurnool chanted Lingashtakam. Teachers require them to learn by heart to make sure that the children chant Lingashtakam without looking at the book.
The Lingasthakam Stotram is a prayer formed of eight salutations or invocations offered to the Supreme Deity in his aspect as Linga. Linga is the universal symbol of creation and source of everything. This prayer glorifies the Shiva Linga and details its greatness. Each stanza lists the God’s glory and the benefits of worshipping the Shiva Linga. It states that the linga is worshipped by Vishnu and Brahma as well. Filled with peace at all times, it destroys any suffering caused by the cycle of birth and rebirth.
