[GHHF] From Conversion to Revival: Gorrekunta's Ancient Shiva Temple Rises Again (Over 70% Converted Village)

Approximately a year ago, Sri Manoj from Gorrekunta village near Warangal called us. Having seen the programs undertaken by our Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), he requested us to visit the ancient Kakatiyan-era Shiva temple in their village. Responding to that invitation, our National General Secretary, Sri Rajesh, visited Gorrekunta village and had Darshan of the Lord Shiva.
A key observation Sri Rajesh made during his first visit was that over *70% of the villagers had already converted their religion.* Even before his visit, the temple management and Manoj's family members had resolved to undertake temple repairs and had already begun the work. After speaking with them, we assured them that GHHF would also provide assistance. At that time, we first sent a microphone set to the temple.
Recently, we received another call from Manoj. He informed us that the temple reconstruction was complete and invited Sri Rajesh to the Navagraha Pratistha (installation of the nine planets) and Dhwajasthambham (flagpole) installation ceremony.
Our Rajesh, who attended the program, was astonished to see the temple! The temple had transformed wonderfully from its state during his first visit. Without disturbing the Moola Virat (main deity) and the Garbhagudi (sanctum sanctorum), the temple was painstakingly renovated with the cooperation of donors. The temple management and villagers welcomed him with great affection.
*Sri Rajesh spoke with them about the necessity of temples and how they should be utilized in the present context.* It brought us immense joy when they shared that they undertook this construction, inspired by the words he spoke during his first visit. Furthermore, our happiness knew no bounds when they mentioned that the *Shiva Nama Smarana (chanting of Lord Shiva's name) began daily for the first time in the temple, all thanks to the microphone (Amplifier, 2- Horn, 2- Microphone) we sent.*
We informed them that Global Hindu Heritage Foundation would organize more Dharmic programs there in the future. The revival of Gorrekunta Temple is an inspiration to us all!
