[GHHF] Ghar Waapasi in Kalyandurgam Mandalam in Anantapur District – Meeting each Family individually
David Frawley
Missionary activity always holds an implicit psychological violence however discretely it is conducted. It is aimed at turning the minds and hearts of people away from their native religion to one that is generally unsympathetic and hostile to it ... Missionary activity and conversion, therefore, is not about freedom of religion
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is extremely happy to resume the Ghar Waapasi in Anantapur District. Knowing the Lockdown, we have taken all precautions. First of all, we noticed a slowdown of the spread of Covid in the district. Second, we decided that we are not going to assemble all the Christians who showed interest in returning, at one location to prevent the spread of Covid. Third, we have made sure our Pracharaks will follow all the guidelines – wearing masks and also maintaining distance. Fourth, Sri Gopi Chary Garu and his associates went to each house and distributed the flyers and talked about the richness of Hinduism and why they should return to their original religion.
Under the guidance of Sri Gopi Chary, three Pracharaks have been going to villages with a mission to highlight the richness of Sanatana Dharma. They are going to the Christian families and giving information about the differences between Christianity and Hinduism. They are sharing the 4-page document about the rights of Hindus and how to encounter Christian aggression.
Visited Kaparlapalli Village
Sri Gopi Chary and his three associates went to Kaparlapalli Village in Kalyanagurgam Mandalam and talked about the richness of our culture dating back to ten thousand years or more and how much it was developed and how so many intellectuals and famous people applauded the depth of our culture. They visited Christian families one at a time, standing in an open area in front of the houses, explaining the reasons for reconversion. They were inspired by Sri Gopi Chary’s assessment and convinced to get converted. He also explained how Christian pastors and nuns trap Hindus when they are either in distress or in financial hardships. In fact, these people had their own experiences of being exploited by them.
As many scholars stated that the only classical culture that was not uprooted by other religions is Hindu culture – traditions, norms, ethics, talents, festivals and practices developed over so many centuries. He says it was a miracle that Hindu culture survived even after so many centuries of Christian and Muslim onslaught.
WE NEED YOUR HELP
We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 12 people so far. More people we hire, more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers.
1) Donate any amount to help the Dharma Pracharaks to work at the ground level.
2) Sponsor one Pracharak: In order to expand our base and hire one Pracharak, it would cost approximately $3000.00 per year. We have five anonymous donors who sponsored Assistants.
