It is not enough to stare up the steps; we must step up the stairs.—Vaclav Havel
Help Birds in Summer as March 20th is world sparrow day
On behalf of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation, Helping Hands, and JD Foundation, Sri Pinnamaneni Srinivas and his innumerable friends decided to do their part which they usually do something every year in and around Visakhapatnam. This year we came up with a model with a facility for birds to nest in clusters. As you see in the pictures, hitherto it is good enough to build 12 nests. We are providing grains and water to drink and take a dip even. This is installed at Simhachalam railway station, there is good amount of applaud from locals, pilgrims, railway staff and even the auto stand union who voluntarily agreed to secure, watch and refill as needed. Almost all newspapers covered the program.
Sri Pinnamaneni Srinivas is Board Member of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation who has been spending hours and hours every day to coordinate, supervise and guide our Ghar Waapasi program, Bala Samskar Kendras, and help renovate and build Grama Devata Temples in Villages.
Sri Srinivas, Sri Varma  and His friends have been doing yeoman service to protect and shelter the birds and animals, cows, monkeys, and street dogs. His passion to protect them is unmatched. He is also environmentalist. He organized many activities to plant many seedlings around the dry areas and mountains to ensure the greenery and reduce the pollution.
On March 22nd during scorching summer day, we got a call from  an unknown about a dog abandoned on the side of busy six lane road tied to a tree. My friend Varma garu responded immediately rushed to spot with some water and biscuits.
It is a beautiful white Pomeranian, in a complete state of perplex, sudden disappearance of those who took care of him , waiting with a hope for them to come back, with vehicles passing with gushing speed, and too hot weather, it is in complete distress. We waited for that day to see if anyone would come back, but unfortunately not.
Finally our friend already having couple of dogs , brought him home, gave some comfort she accepted the love and started enjoying the company. Today we posted in groups if anyone can come forward and give some place and love. As this is a pet Pomeranian we well aware that she cannot survive in the competition like any other strays on the street. Luckily Saagi Chanti gaaru from Alamanda came forward to adopt giving an happy ending to this beautiful dog. Many many thanks for his kind heart.

NEWSPAPER Coverage
As you can see that four newspapers covered the story of providing nests, water, and food to the birds.
Newsday, Sakshi, Kalam Prasthanam and Swarna Visakha provided extensive coverage.
When deeds speak, words are nothing

Sri Pinnamaneni’s heart wrenching Experience
Humbly and honestly, we are hoping to build more of this kind of nests and shelters soon and give a chance to these innocent lives. I am providing free water bowls every year to those interested in setting up on their roof tops. If you are ready to help to the needy i always fervently strive to be there.
One winter day during dusk while on a walk, I saw a taxi parked on a roadside and driver is jumping into the car to get started possibly on a business. Then noticed a piece of cloth moving between the wheels, on a second look i realized it is puppy, instantly i rushed to the vehicle and shouted ( as glass panes closed) at the driver to hold on. Finally pulled the black slovenly, feeble puppy out, think he was blatantly brought and left to his fate.
I brought him home gave some food and comfort who then decided firmly to stay at my place giving another fiduciary responsibility. Now he is showing hell to all other dogs not letting them sleep, always asking to play. Eating food double that of bigger ones. Irrespectively i am happy for him as there is no leash, no rules, safety guaranteed, food right on time, friends to play with. Browny who is back after surgery has graciously taken the motherly responsibility of blacky.  Only thing is I must be visible and say hello often which i do gladly.
*Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen*
In 2020 During Pandemic more than TWO months GHHF provided food and water to Birds, Moneys, Cows, and Dogs.
Sri , the Board member of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF) and who coordinates our activities in Karnataka and other States in India received requests from different sources about the pitiable condition of these animals. Few people called Savetemples office and appraised of the sad situation. Immediately Sri Ram Sharma Garu took the initiative to start in Kalyandurg village, Kalyandurg Mandal, Anantapur district. So, our volunteers in that Village started this operation to feed the animals.
Sri Gopi Chary, one of our Pracharaks, used to go to the villages in the evening and provide water and food to these innocent creatures. It was decided to feed them until lockdown is lifted so that these animals would have enough food and water. We are grateful to the volunteers who have taken the responsibility to feed these animals.
