"Each Indian looks for God in his own way and worships one or several of the millions of deities who are the supposed reincarnation or expression of God, a Spirit or a Force. This has never led to a religious war. There have been communal clashes, but India has never had to face religious wars or crusades save those that were thrust on it from outside. The multiple revelation of the East has proved to be in many ways more advantageous than the single revelation of the West." (Guy Sorman )
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has successfully helped in getting their salaries deposited in ten days.
Anantha Padmanabha Swamy temple next to Kerala there is one in Andhra Pradesh, Vizianagaram. While passing by our volunteer of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has visited this temple. Hilltop top road was half laid by previous government and present Christiaan government has totally ignored it. Temple steps were totally ignored, no renovation, no maintenance, snakes crawling around and no salaries in the last 18 months. When spoke to priests they were in tears.
The 600-year-old shrine of Ananta Padmanabha Swamy atop a hill at Padmanabham village is reeling under fund crunch, say temple officials. The thought of climbing 1,270 steps to reach the temple of Lord Ananta Padmanabha Swamy atop a steep hill at Padmanabham mandal has been a dampener for many devotees for several years. Soon, this may be a thing of the past.
This temple has two parts, one on the hilltop and the other at the foothills where all major activities happen. Once a year there will be a huge festival where all locals pay a visit and governments on that day will charge for every program and nothing is free even for a mendicants, sadhus or deadbeats. This temple has ten priests and relatively huge compound. Payments were stopped saying that this temple has 150 acers of donated land whose revenue must be enough, but governments has made no enquiry where the revenue from 150 acers is going and not coming to the temple treasury.
Our volunteers who visited along with Simhachalam corporator Sri Pasarla Prasad, contacted the local sarpanch and made sure of the situation, and released a video to the media asking the current government and state commissioner for temples to help in this regard. Sent a note to endowment commissioner to consider and help these poor priests. Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is very glad to announce that within ten days their salaries were released, and hope priests continue to get their salaries.
