Global Hindu Heritage is very happy to announce that our volunteers have been making Water TUBS with GHHF logo and savetetemples.org. We have been providing this service for the last three years in various locations. Since 2020, GHHF is providing this service to these animals.
The Directive Principles of State Policy contained in Article 48 of the Constitution reads, “The State shall endeavour to organize agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle.” A number of states have either banned or adopted a restrictive ban on the slaughter of the cows, no mechanism to enforce the Directive. Illegal shipping of cows to cross-country has not been affected. In fact, one can assume, the number of cows and buffalos being shipped is increasing based on the local consumption and export figures.
Animals are considered human’s closest friends for a very long time. We are dependent on them for food and security (Habitat). Every animal in the world needs to be taken care by providing them food, shelter and veterinary care. The behavior of most of the domestic animals is mainly observed by how we treat them. If we treat them with good care, love and compassion, they will definitely show the same love and respect towards us. For example, a farmer owns buffaloes, goats, sheep and cows to get milk both for his family and financial purposes, he needs to take care of the animals to come up with his needs and ensure best production rate.
What if we imagine the Ecosystem without all animals on the face of the earth? This clearly means we would definitely have to survive in an Ecosystem where the possibilities will be more for us to be easily attacked by a virus. Countries that are dependent on wild animals for fund raising in parks and zoos would be facing problems; many people doing jobs over there would be left jobless, this would automatically leave many people under financial issues since the reason that wild animals were a source of income.
Food and water must be provided to each and every animal through any way we think is possible. These animals deserve veterinary care just to ensure that all the animals are in a good state of health. This will not only help animals to survive, but on other hand it will help us to prevent our environment from the diseases in case if they get sick. (Source: medium.com)
Cows are Considered Sacred
    As we are aware that Cows are given high respect in Hinduism and described in various scriptures describing their importance. Cattle are considered sacred in world religions  - Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism, ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Israel, ancient Rome, and ancient Germany.
Cow, as an adobe of 33 crore Deities is considered as sacred in Hinduism, due to its sattvic qualities. Kamadhenu, the miraculous "cow of plenty" and the "mother of cows" in certain versions of the Hindu mythology, is believed to represent the generic sacred cow, regarded as the source of all prosperity.
The Trinity - Brahma, Vishṇu and Shiva have narrated the following shloka on Cow:
“O Destroyer of sins! You are the mother of all Deities. You are the reason for yajna (sacrificial fire). Among all Tirthas (Holy places), you are the holiest. I pay my obeisance to you.
In the past our Sages have conducted Yajna’s for wellbeing of the community, and now scientific research has found that the ritual of burning cow dung and ghee as fuel for these sacred fires, actually purifies the air, and has anti-pollutant and anti-radiation qualities in the environment.
Bhagavat Purana states: 
Deer, camel, donkey, monkey, rats, creeping animals, birds and flies – one should consider them like one’s own children, and not differentiate between one’s children and these creatures. (7.14.9)
He who does not seek to kill, cause pain or tie up living creatures and desires the good of all attains everlasting joy.  — Vishnu Dharma Sutra 51.69
