"Sanatana Dharma (Hinduism) is the link that connects the present to the pre-historic past. It is the oldest religion on earth, and it still exists as vibrant as ever, because it subsists from holding on to goodness. It is demonstrated very clearly in Mahabharata that the upholding of dharma is possible only by humans, not by gods.
1. Bala Samskar Kendras – Students from 20 Schools chanting Lingashtakam is assembled into this video – Unique and interesting presentation. (Feb 21)
On Maha Shivaratri Day, all the students in most of the center chanted Lingashtakam. Teachers require them to learn by heart to make sure that the children chant Lingashtakam without looking at the book.
The Lingasthakam Stotram is a prayer formed of eight salutations or invocations offered to the Supreme Deity in his aspect as Linga. Linga is the universal symbol of creation and source of everything. This prayer glorifies the Shiva Linga and details its greatness. Each stanza lists the God’s glory and the benefits of worshipping the Shiva Linga. It states that the linga is worshipped by Vishnu and Brahma as well. Filled with peace at all times, it destroys any suffering caused by the cycle of birth and rebirth.
2. Ghar Waapasi Program in Anantapur – Conducted Shiva Parvati Kalyanam and carried the Vigrahas on Chariot (Ratham) in the streets with dances and musical Bands (Feb 23)
On 18 night, Maha Shiva Ratri was celebrated on a grand scale in Bhavani Shankar Devalayam in Kalyandurgh Mandalam in Anantapur District. On this occasion Shiva Parvati Kalyanam was performed. Before the Kalyanam, Shiva and Parvati were place on a specially decorated Ratham and went through the streets of the village. Children started dancing, Musical bands were sounding on full-scale, chanting of Om Namah Shiva was ringing in the years and the whole atmosphere was filled with spiritual vibrations.
3. Ghar Waapasi in Assam – 9 Christians returned to Hindu Dharma (Feb 24)
Nine Christians from indigenous Chorai community retuned to Hindu Dharma. All pujas and rituals were performed as per their customs. Rodrabhishekam was done. Later all the new Hindus were given new clothes.
4. Christian Missionaries to plant 400,000 Churches in every nook and corner of India (Feb 24)
According to a report by Organiser, a strategic conference of Church leaders to discuss their “Vision 2030 Nehemiah Push” was held in Chennai on January 10 and 11 attended by over 300 missionaries and Christian priests. The event was reportedly held at Radisson Blue Hotel in Chennai. The event saw the participation of controversial Christian pastor Mohan C. Lazarus who is known for his hate speech against Hindus.
5. GHHF Bala Samskar Kendras – Students were taught about Sri Paramahamsa Rama Krishna, his life, his love for Kali Mata, meeting with Vivekananda and his last days (Feb 25)
Sri Ramakrishna was born on 18 February 1836 in the village of Kamarpukur about sixty miles northwest of Kolkata. His parents, Kshudiram Chattopadhyaya and Chandramani Devi, were poor but very pious and virtuous. As a child, Ramakrishna (his childhood name was Gadadhar) was dearly loved by the villagers.
In 1855 the Kali Temple at Dakshineswar built by Rani Rasmani was consecrated and Ramkumar became the chief priest in that temple. When he died a few months later, Ramakrishna was appointed the priest. Ramakrishna developed intense devotion to Mother Kali and spent hours in loving adoration of her image.
6. Baka SAMSKAR Kendras- students are learning about Vemana, Telugu poet, his life, literary greatness and accomplishments (Feb 26)
Many lines of Yogi Vemana's poems are now colloquial phrases of the Telugu language. They end with the signature line Viswadaabhi Raama Vidura Vema, literally "Beloved of Viswada, listen Vema." There are multiple interpretations of what the last line signifies. Vemana's poems were collected and published by Brown in the 19th century. His poems follow various themes: social, moral, satirical and mystical. Most of them are in Ataveladi.
7. Bala Samskar Kendras in Assam - organized Bhagwat Geeta- Quiz for 72 students from 11 Government Schools. (Feb 27)
Bala Samskar Kendras, Silchar organized Bhagwat Geeta- Quiz to make the students aware of knowing the importance of this scripture. Seventy-two (72) students from 11 Government Schools participated in this program. The main intention behind organizing this program is to reach Non-Bala Samskar Students for whom we couldn't open Centre's and those are studying in Government schools and to circulate the essence of Geeta amongst Children.
8. Setting up Stall to provide Basic Needs – Buttermilk, Panakam, Vada Pappu and information - to Lakhs of people who come to witness Sri Rama Pattabhishekam in Bhadrachalam, AP.
Lakhs of pilgrims are expected during these days, so GHHF is planning to offer buttermilk, paanakam (sweet water), vada-pappu, pamphlets about our activities and how a Hindu must respond to save our dharma and others. Our volunteers are going to explain public about our efforts and how people can involve with GHHF to further expand our activities.
