TTD Defamation case withdrawal is only to protect the Blatant Liars: Priest Deekshitulu and MP Vijay Sai Reddy
TTD Trust Board announcement that it has decided to withdraw the Defamation case filed during the TDP administration against YSRCP Member of Parliament V. Vijaya Sai Reddy and former chief priest A.V. Ramana Deekshitulu is only to protect the people who have tarnished the image of Lord Venkateshwara.
The decision is immoral, unethical, and sacrilegious. TTD is the most sacred place on earth for all the Hindus. The Chairman of TTD, S V Suba Reddy claimed to be the most staunch Hindu, the uncle of the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy, have taken many decisions to tamper with the sacredness of Balaji Temple and determined to create hatred toward the Board’s decision among Hindus to reduce their attendance, suppress their sentiments, and also tinker with the traditions of TTD by allowing Christian Chief Minister to enter Balaji Temple without declaring his faith.
The decision to withdraw the Defamation case is another example of de-sanctifying the TTD. In so doing, they are justifying the comments made by MP and the Chief Priest. Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy had even accused the then Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu of taking away the ‘pink diamond’ and demanded a search of his house. Chief Priest Ramana Deekshitulu stated that he adorned the pink diamond to Balaji in 2001 and it was recorded as broken by Vigilance officer. He said that it is missing and is found in the international auction house. Nobody has determined whether a pink diamond really exists or not. These charges were unfounded and unverified.
In 2018, terming the allegations as “mischievous and malicious,” the then TTD Chairman Putta Sudhakar Yadav, filed defamation cases against Mr. Vijaya Sai Reddy and Mr. Deekshitulu for ₹100 crores each. The affidavit claims that the allegations made by these two individuals either for political vendetta or for personal vendetta, brought disgrace to the world’s most sacred Hindu shrine.
To register the case in the court, TTD paid Rs 2.04 crores.
Now the present Trust Board of TTD led by Y.V. Subba Reddy resolved to file an appeal in the court for withdrawing the case. Why the Defamation should be withdrawn? If their allegations can be verified and substantiated, why withdraw a winning case? Because the present Chairman knows that TTD has a strong case and would most likely win the case and the Court may requires the Chief Priest Deekshitulu and MP Vijaya Sai Reddy to pay Rs 100 crores each or go to jail. TTD Chairman Subba Reddy also knew that the Court judgement would enrage the Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. If the Chairman and other Board members are sure that TTD does not have a case, why should it withdraw?
Additionally, if their allegations are blatant lies, they should publicly apologize and pay the amount for bringing disrespect and dishonor to the scared Balaji Temple. But if they feel their allegations can be proved in the court, then they should ask TTD to proceed with the Defamation case rather than allowing them to withdraw the case.
We demand that TTD reinstate the Defamation case filed against these blatant liars. TTD Trust Board must resign to ensure the sanctity of TTD or make sure that these two individuals pay Rs 100 crores each to TTD treasury. Or Board members should take personal responsibility to pay Rs 200 crores to TTD as a punishment for protecting the people who have committed a crime by lying.
Also, the Trust Board members must personally pay the court fee of Rs 2.04 crores to TTD treasury immediately.
TTD Trust Board should stop playing politics with Lord Venkateshwara, the God of Kaliyuga. They must be awakened to the fact that even if they escape from the defamation case from the High court, they will never escape the judgement in the Court of Lord Venkateshwara. They will pay dearly for their vicious smearing of the sacredness of the Balaji Temple for their selfish and political purposes.
