About the Sri. K.V.Satyanarayana and the Kuchipudi ballet
Natyakalavisarada K.V.Satyanarayana is a well-known Kuchipudi dancer, choreographer, lyricist, & composer from India. He started an institute, named Sri Satya Kuchipudi and Janapada Nritya Academy, to coach a stream of disciples in the discipline of dance, both classical & folk. He was a dance director for some acclaimed Indian movies such as "Sruthilayalu", "Swarnakamalam", "Sutradharulu", & "Swathikiranam", in 1988, he won the prestigious Nandi Award given by the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh for choreographing the movie "Sruthilayalu", in 1989& 1990, he won the Bharathmuni Award. Eluru based Kuchipudi artist, choreographer, and guru K.V. Satyanarayana has already presented this Kuchipudi Ballet Amuktha Malyada at Sri Venkateswara Swami Temple, Aurora, IL on Jul 24 2010. We are glad to annouce that this will be played in NJ also to benefit the NJ East Coast audience. A recent recipient of a Cultural Excellence award by the Telugu Association of London, and trained by Korada Narasimha Rao and Vempati Chinna Satyam, Satyanarayana previously presented the ballet with dancers from Natyanjali in Texas.
