[GHHF] Ayodhya Rama Padukas reached for Ayodhya Bala Rama Temple to be built in the Dallas area. Paduka Puja was performed at our house.
A dedicated and devoted group of Hindus, headed by Sri Garudadri Narasimha Murthy, bought a few acres of land in Van Alstyne to build Ayodhya Bala Rama Temple. They performed Bhumi Puja on April 29, 2025. Sri Murthy went to Bharat and got the Rama Padukas to be installed in the proposed new Temple. Rama is described as Ajanubahu with 14-inch feet. Thus, the Padukas were made with silver and taken to several religious places to receive the blessings and energy from these great Temples and Spiritual leaders.
He took these silver Padukas to such places as Ramana Maharshi Ashram, Kanci Ashram, Ayodhya Rama Temple, Bhadradri Rama Temple, and to Pittapuram, where Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swami blessed the Padukas. The Priest Murthy took them to the Sarayu River and washed them. Then he brought them to Dallas on July 30th, took them to Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple, and a puja was performed.
On August 1, Nandini and Prakasarao were blessed to receive the Padukas to their house, where the Priest Murthy, assisted by Lakshmi Narasimha Sharma, performed Puja to Padukas as per the tradition.
What is the importance of Rama Padukas?
Rama Padukas, representing the sandals of Lord Rama, hold profound significance in Hinduism, particularly within the Ramayana narrative. They symbolize his presence, authority, and the principles of dharma (righteousness). When Lord Rama went into exile. After acquiring Rama’s padukas, Bharat took them to Nandigram and installed them there. He did not reside in Ayodhya.
Bharata placed the Padukas on the throne, ruling Ayodhya on Rama's behalf, signifying the Padukas as a symbol of Rama's rule and Bharata's devotion and service.

Rama is the most meaningful personality in spiritual and mythological history. He is eminent for leaving all the luxuries and amenities of the king’s life and living a life of solitude and simplicity in the forest.
Lord Rama Paduka is highly auspicious and zealous. They are considered sacred symbols, representing the divine feet of Hindu deities. They bring endless positivity and a stream of bliss. The padukas eliminate evils and bring glory to life. One should place the Lord Rama padukas near the entry of all the doors, as this practice is quite auspicious. You can also put it at the home temple's entrance. Always keep the padukas with them when entering the room or place. It brings stability, harmony, and exhilaration.
In general, Padukas are often placed at home altars and temples as a symbol of the divine presence. They are believed to protect the household from negative energies and invite positive vibrations.
