[GHHF] Bala Samskar Kendras – Students learned about the moral about the “Truth is fire;” Do good deeds cannot be hidden; always speak truth.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation’s Bala Samskar Kendras learned about the hidden secret of truth. After dinner, when the children came, Savithramma's grandmother was reading some book. Ten-year-old Rambabu said, "Yesterday, my father said to his friend, 'Krishnamurthy thought he could cover the eyes (deceive) of ten people with his intelligence.' But truth is like fire, isn't it? I heard him say that he has been punished. Truth is like fire, what do you mean grandmother?' he asked. Grandma took him close and said, "Some do bad things secretly. But it will come out sometime. This is what your father said. In the background Ramachandra and Joginadham behaved like this. Let me tell you their story,' she began.
Once a young man came to Giripuram zamindar Madhavaya's divan and said, "Sir, my name is Viswanadham. If my education is tested and I am given a job, I will live by appreciating your name,' he said. The landlord said, "Two elders named Ramachandram and Joginadham have been working in our diwan since time immemorial. You worked for both for a month. After that, if they hire you, then we will see," he said.
Viswanath's intelligent and eloquent demeanor was liked by both the elders. Both, who have a daughter each, got the idea to do good to Viswanatha and get their child married. Joginadham said to Viswanadham whenever he could, "Don't trust Ramachandra. He has a habit of pocketing money by stealing from the zamindar's accounts,' he said. And Ramachandram told Viswanathan "Joginadham keeps on collecting money from the zamindar crying loudly that someone in the house has got some disease. Don't associate with such a person, you will surely get a bad name!'
Viswanadham, who was tired of listening to these elders talk about each other, wanted to know the truth in their words. He met Karan of that village and told him the words that the elders were saying. After hearing everything, Karanam said, "Both of them are frauds! That Ramachandra took most of the money given by the zamindar for Sri Ramanavami celebrations. And the Joginadham-zamindar is embezzling more than half of the money given for the expenses of the Dharma Satram. All this, I and the village elders know. However, the landlord has no confidence in them. That's why we are unable to tell him the truth,' he said.
Viswanadham met the zamindar in private and explained the behavior of Ramachandram Joginadham for twenty days, the attitude of the village towards both and the opinion of the elders and said, "If you allow them, they can all come now and hear the real nature of the two Diwanam elders." The zamindar and Viswanadham remained speechless for a moment and said, "Karanam and the elders of the village do not need to come and testify, I know their honesty. Truth is like fire! How long can you hide? From this moment I am appointing you as the officer of all the employees including Ramachandra and Joginadham,'' he praised Viswanatha.
Grandma finished the story and said, "No matter how secretly we do the bad things we do, they must come out at some point. Good deeds are good for everyone, so one should make a habit of doing good deeds. Do you now know what the truth is like fire?' "Understood, Grandma," said all the children excitedly nodding their heads......
