The celebration of Sri Krishna Ashtami at the GHHF Bala Samskar Kendras was not just a festival—it was a joyful learning experience that brought Hindu culture, devotion, values, and community participation together.

Across the Bala Samskar Kendras conducted under the guidance of Global Hindu Heritage Foundation (GHHF), children came together to celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna with great enthusiasm and devotion. The little ones dressed up beautifully as Sri Krishna and the Gopikas, bringing the divine stories of Krishna to life with their innocent smiles, colorful costumes, and joyful participation.

The celebrations were designed not merely to tell children about Lord Krishna, but to help them experience and understand the values taught by Krishna. During the Bala Samskar Kendra sessions, children learned about the journey of Krishna—from Balakrishna, the playful child of Gokulam, to Kaliya Mardana, Govardhanadhari, Kamsa Vadha, Parthasarathi, and finally Jagadguru Krishna, who gave humanity the timeless wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita.

They learned that Krishna teaches us more than devotion alone:

Balakrishna taught us happiness.
Sakha Krishna taught us friendship.
Kaliya Mardana taught us courage.
Govardhanadhari taught us respect for nature and protection of others.
Krishna who defeated Kamsa taught us to stand for Dharma.
Parthasarathi taught us the importance of duty.
Jagadguru Krishna gave us the wisdom to live a righteous life.

To make these teachings meaningful, every Bala Samskar Kendra also organized Utti Kottadam (Dahi Handi) as part of the Krishna Ashtami celebrations. Children enthusiastically participated in the activity, experiencing firsthand the spirit of unity, cooperation, friendship, courage, and joyful participation.

For the children, it was not just an activity—it was a memory they will cherish. They learned, they played, they dressed up, they celebrated, and most importantly, they experienced their own Hindu traditions. The celebrations also brought the villagers and local community members together. Parents, elders, children, and villagers participated with enthusiasm, turning the Bala Samskar Kendra into a joyful center of culture, devotion, and community bonding. This is the purpose of the GHHF Bala Samskar Kendras. 

We believe that children should not learn Dharma only from books. They should see it, hear it, experience it, practice it, and grow up living its values. Through Bala Samskar Kendras, GHHF is working at the grassroots level to connect the younger generation with Sanatana Dharma, Hindu traditions, stories of our great deities, Indian culture, moral values, and a sense of responsibility towards society.

Every festival becomes a classroom.

Every activity becomes an experience.
Every child becomes a carrier of our heritage.

From teaching children the life and message of Lord Krishna to giving them the opportunity to celebrate Krishna Ashtami with their families and communities, GHHF is striving to nurture a generation that knows its roots, understands its Dharma, takes pride in its heritage, and lives with strong values.
