TTD passed a Resolution on December 20 to build Vakula Mata Temple
As you all know that GHHF has been advocating the construction of Vakula Mata Temple for more than 5 years. We have been corresponding with TTD for a long time. GHHF members met with all the EOs and Chairmen over these years requesting them to build Vakula Mata Temple. In fact, we had written a letter to Sri Bapi Raju Garu asking TTD to permission to GHHF to build Vakula Mata Temple. We have associated with Sri Bhanu Prakash Reddy, the Member of TTD Board for about four years on this issue. Sri Swami Paripoornananda Saraswathi of Sree Peetham, Dr. Ghazal Sreenivas and other have even demonstrated on the streets highlighting the issue.
Sri Paripoornananda Swamiji, R V V Krishna Rao, Bhanu Prakash Reddy and others litigated the case against the illegal miners to resolve the matter.
Now the High Court of Andhra Pradesh cleared the way on November 17, 2016 and directed TTD to construct Vakula Mata Temple on the hill in Perur village.
On December 20, TTD Board members met and directed the Engineering Department to submit plans to build fence around the mountain and steps leading all the way to the top of the Hill where the original Vakula Mata Temple was built centuries ago.
TTD also announced that if the work progresses as expected by the Engineering Department, it is planning to have ground breaking ceremony to start the construction of Vakula Mata Temple in the later part of January 2017.
Attached are the newspapers that covered the story published on December21st .
