Delta Virus hampering our Ghar Waapasi efforts.
Global Hindu Heritage Foundation has distributed TWO weeks supply of Dry food items to Archakas living in Vadamalapeta Mandalam near Tirupati. K. Reddappa and K Subbanna coordinated the event by selecting the priests, who need these items. The priests from Vadamalapeta Mandalam are invited to assemble in one location to receive the goods. Everybody is informed to follow the Covid guidelines. As we mentioned earlier, many Archakas in VILLAGES are experiencing hardships and struggling to feed their families.
 
               GHHF has distributed dry food items to 10 priests from Vadamalapeta  Mandalam in the Chittoor district. District Coordinator K. Reddappa said because of the spread of Covid 19, many priests do not have enough income to feed their families. GHHF has distributed to more than 200 Archakas around Tirupati.
 
GHHF is distributing the food items in Anantapur, Tirupati, Guntur, Pendurthi, Bhadrachalam, Hyderabad, West Godavari, and Visakhapatnam areas. As we mentioned earlier that we wanted to distribute dry goods in these areas to about 600 Priests. Now the number increased to 750. We are exceeding our expectations to distribute about 1000 priests.
 
Each bag/kit will have the following items: Rice, Wheat flour, Cooking Oil, Urad Dal, Moong Dal, Brown Sugar, Tea Powder, Meal Packet, Chilli powder, Soaps, Tamarind, Turmeric, Sugar, Coconut oil, Upma Ravva, Mustard Seeds, and other items. It may vary depending on the requests of the priests in these cities.
 
Since the Lockdown due to the fear of spreading Coronavirus, all the Hindu Temples are closed. Now, many Pujaris / Hindu Temple priests are having a hard time meeting their basic needs. Many of them do not have any salaries either from the government or the private Temples. Most of them do not have enough savings to pay their rent and electricity. Furthermore, many private temples do not have enough income to pay their salaries. Consequently, many Pujaris do not have enough resources to meet their daily expenses to provide meals for their families. Recently, newspapers wrote about some priests begging on the streets as they could not provide meals for the family. That news pained so many people and some organizations are helping them financially. They are facing a grim and grave predicament.

We appreciate it if you can help in hiring more people who can go to these villages to do Ghar Waapasi. We have employed 12 people so far. More people we hire more villages can be covered to welcome them back and also create Chaitanya (Awareness) among the students and villagers
