[GHHF] The USCIRF Report on India is deliberately biased, prejudiced, hateful, and anti-Hindu. The US should close this Commission or revamp it.

Global Hindu Heritage Foundation is surprised and shocked to read that USCRIF has listed India as a “Country of Particular Concern,” but has made no mention of Bangladesh. The USCIRF recommended that upcoming US security assistance and trade agreements with India be contingent on improvements in religious freedom in the country.  The statement again urged that India be labelled a “country of particular concern”, citing reported declines in religious freedom.  The report said, “Several states undertook efforts to introduce or strengthen anti-conversion laws to include harsher prison sentences. Indian authorities also facilitated widespread detention and illegal expulsion of citizens and religious refugees and tolerated vigilante attacks against religious minority communities.’
USCIRF deliberately ignores the disruption of Hindu festivals by Islamists with their violence, intimidation, attacks, threats, and killings. It overlooks atrocities against Hindus who continue to face threats, physical attacks, harassment, forced conversions, love jihad, house burnings, and kidnapping of Hindu girls.
USCIRF should find out how many illiterate Hindus are being converted with allurement, healing techniques, the use of miracle oils, conversion of patients in the hospitals, promises of jobs, definite healing of the deceased, and a guaranteed path to heaven.
The Commission recommended “targeted sanctions” against individuals and entities, including the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), holding them responsible for the situation.
The government of India said in its response that instead of persisting with selective criticism of India, USCRIF would do well to reflect on the incidents of vandalism and attacks on Hindu Temples in the US, the selective targeting of India, and the growing intolerance and intimidation of the diaspora in the US.
Randhir Jaiswal, MEA spokesperson, said, “USCRIF had persisted in presenting a distorted and selective picture of India, relying on questionable sources and ideological narratives rather than objective facts. Such repeated misrepresentations only undermine the credibility of the commission itself.”
USCRIF totally ignored the atrocities committed against Hindus, Hindu festivals, and Hindu Temples.
1)    The Pahalgam Killings were ignored.
USCIRF did not even acknowledge the death of 27 Hindus. The whole world watched the horror with their eyes open while the Commission was sleeping, or the killing of Hindus was not within their purview, as it only looked at the fake news about Muslims and Christians, with their sources unknown.
The 2025 Pahalgam attack, also referred to as the 2025 Pahalgam massacre, was an Islamist terrorist attack on mainly Hindu tourists by at least three-armed terrorists near Pahalgam in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, in which 27 civilians were killed on 22 April 2025. The militants targeted Hindu tourists, though a Christian tourist and a local Muslim pony ride operator were also killed. The attackers, armed with M4 carbines and AK-47s, entered the Baisaran Valley, a famous tourist spot, through the surrounding forests. This incident is considered the deadliest attack on civilians in India since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
2)    During Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti (India)
During the celebration of Ramanavami on March 26, 2025, Muslim mobs attacked Hindu homes and business establishments to protest against a Hindu religious procession that passed by a mosque on the evening of March 26. “The attacks on Hindus on March 27 were deliberate and designed to not only create fear among the Hindus but also drive home the message that Hindus have to stay subservient to Muslims in Muslim-majority areas where Muslims will lay down rules of conduct for Hindus,” said Malda BJP leader Tanmay Bhaduri.
“Muslims have been objecting to blowing conch shells, beating drums, ringing bells, singing bhajans and kirtans, and taking out religious processions by Hindus. They have been saying that they feel disturbed by such Hindu religious practices. According to these radical Muslims, even Hindu religious processions passing by mosques is objectionable,” said former BJP state president Dilip Ghosh.
Hindu organizations have been accused by human rights groups and some media outlets of organizing large processions through Muslim-majority neighborhoods, sometimes brandishing weapons and playing provocative, anti-Muslim songs, which often spark clashes.  In various states, including West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, Muslim mobs have been reported to respond to these processions with stone-pelting, leading to injuries, arson, and destruction of property.
3)    Ramdan
During Ramadan 2025, observed from March 1st to March 30th, a series of incidents occurred, highlighting communal tensions and criminal activities across Bharat. According to the reports, a concerning number of crimes and attacks were perpetrated by individuals from the Muslim community against Hindus. These incidents encompassed a range of offenses, including planned attacks on Hindu processions, fatalities, instances of love jihad, cow smuggling, and crimes against minors. The Hindu Post reported 25 incidents where Hindus were subjected to intimidation, violence, harassment, and persecution.
4)    Holi
•    In Uttar Pradesh’s Sambhal district, a violent mob of Muslim men led by Mehruddin attacked a Hindu family celebrating Diwali with firecrackers. The attackers barged into their home, vandalized property, and physically assaulted family members—including women—under the pretext of “noise disturbance.”
•    A Muslim mob attacked some people from the Hindu community celebrating Dol Purnima and Holi on 14th March in Anaipur village in the Birbhum district of West Bengal. Muslims attacked Hindus for chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and questioned them, “How dare you raise this slogan?”
•    In February, some members of the Hindu community were planning to organize a Holi program in their locality in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, when some Muslim men attacked them with sticks and gave them death threats: “If you celebrate Holi, we will kill you.” The victims identified as Laxman, Munna, Shani, and Akash were attacked by the accused identified as Ayan, Salman, Aman, Rehan, Bhura, and Alam.
5)    Navaratri festival
•    During the Navaratri festival, in Gujarat’s Gandhinagar, communal tension escalated when an “I Love Muhammad” statue circulated on social media, sparking Islamist mobs to attack Garba pandals and shops, engage in stone pelting, and cause arson. Police intervened and arrested 70 individuals implicated in the violence.
•    In Madhya Pradesh’s Burhanpur district, a Durga idol immersion procession on Wednesday, 1st October, turned violent in Naya Kheda village. Islamic fundamentalists objected to the loud DJ music near a mosque, sparking an argument. This quickly escalated into stone pelting, seriously injuring one person. A small idol was also damaged in the incident. Police confirmed that a case has been registered and investigations are ongoing.
Bangladesh
Bangladesh again witnessed desecration of Hindu temples and violence against devotees during Diwali. Hindu homes were looted, idols broken, and residents attacked—consistent with a pattern of religious cleansing noted by human rights observers. In Bangladesh, Hindu minorities continue to face relentless attacks, including temple desecration, land grabbing, murder, and forced conversions, aiming at systematic religious cleansing. These attacks have elevated fears of potential Hindu extinction in Bangladesh by
The plight of minorities in Bangladesh continued to worsen every year, with Hindus and indigenous tribal populations facing acts of aggression such as abuse, looting, destruction, kidnapping, rape, murder, eviction, and coerced conversion to Islam
Shame on USCRIF
Failure to document or even acknowledge the atrocities committed on Hindus in India and Bangladesh shows the Commission's bias, prejudice, and partiality. The Commission's credibility is zero. The US government should look into this and hold open hearings on the Report to find out how the data was collected, what is the source of their information, why there are glaring incidents in India, and the daily persecution of Hindu in Bangladesh. The US Congress must also look at the composition of the Commission that was totally slanted to favor one religion and demean the other. Open hearings should reveal the real intent of the Commission members.
